Prince's astonishment grew with each mansion and well groomed lawn he passed on the way to his employers house. This was his very first time being on this side of town, and he was soaking in each and every single detail. He was awestruck by the intricately designed homes that could have well been considered a palace by their ostentatious format. The man found himself upon many occasions gawking mouth wide at the wildly decorated green lawns that boasted gorgeous fountains and neatly trimmed bushes, the stretches of land these homes conquered, and how these foundations basically beamed in gory riches.
Despite his fascination, Prince could feel his confidence become dimly smaller as his car approached the bronze gates to which Angela's neighborhood resided behind. Though they had spent the entire night before conversing via email, and the woman had assured him that materialistic things did not impress her one bit, he still was a bit self conscious. Compared to his quaint home tucked between other humble makings, these houses made his look like a toddler's play pen. The man was quite embarrassed that he had even let Angela prance into his abode.
After being granted access by the guard at the gates with the pin his boss had given him, he proceeded onward. Slugging his way through the streets, trying to find the correct address. The tires of his metallic Chrysler finally screeched to a stop in front of the mansion that he assumed belonged to Angela due to the numbers on the mailbox that matched the one on the sheet of paper he suddenly held in his tightly nervous grasp. 9311. . . A well needed breath filled his lungs. Here goes nothing.
He cautiously stalked his way up her cobblestone driveway, stopping a few times to plainly ogle at the magnificent place she called her home, then wandered up her stone steps and rang the doorbell. A glorified chime came as a result of this, the ringing so loud that he could hear it from the outside. Barely moments later, a robe clad Angela answered the door.
"Hi." Prince, fixing his pair of gold rimmed bifocals atop of his nose, perked up and offered his best smile; even though it was tainted by a dose of shyness.
Instead of returning his hello, the woman yanked him in by an arm and shut the door behind them. The bewildered man couldn't even question her actions for her lips silenced any words that had wanted to escape. Prince willingly fell victim to the curt kiss as her arms trapped his neck, his own going to the bend of her waist. When they pulled away from each other, both of their mouths were embalmed with the sweet taste of Angela's strawberry chap stick.
"Well that's a nice way to greet someone." Prince's tenor cracked softly with a hint of a smile, his hands now resting on the perfect niches of her frame.
Realizing how rash she had been, the woman's cheeks burned up in a pinkish chagrin. "I-I'm sorry." Those brewing gray eyes of hers that Prince found so engaging were now concealed by her own bashfulness, thick charcoal lashes sweeping her cheeks. "I don't know what came over me."
Except she did know what had come over her. That being her building anticipation for his arrival, and the lightning of excitement she had felt bolt through her as soon as she had flung open the door to see him, waiting there.
"It's fine." His plush, unbearably soft lips that pressed against her forehead only helped his next sentence in sparking the slight tremble in her knees. "I'll take that type of hello from you any day."
Angela cocked her eyes back up in his direction. She noticed how his hair swirled in random curls around his face, the rest being pulled back; a separation from the many other times where he had just wore it down completely. Having to bite into her lip in fear that she may do something equivalent to her risque rendition of a hello or worse, her black fluffy house slippers matching that of her lustrous robe, shuffled a step back from him. It would not have been wise on her part to try and already jump his bones within a mere minute of his being there. Rather, she let her hand go forth to join his, to which Prince responded happily as his callous fingers welcomed hers. With a cheery wind of her mouth, she began to lead him further into her fanciful home, and he followed without question.
