Arei's Pov I wake up hearing Harper's screams and I quickly run to her room.
"What's wrong?!" I ask walking towards her.
"I had the nightmare again." She replies crying.
"Okay remember what I said last time you had a nightmare?" I ask her to keep her mind off of the nightmare she had.
"Yeah, you said that you were going to move me into your room." She replies slowly calming down.
I hold her in my arms and comfort her. "That's right so I'm going to start moving your stuff tomorrow but for now you can sleep with me okay?" I tell her.
I really hope my room can fit all of the stuff. I pick up Harper as she quickly falls asleep in my arms and I bring her to my room. I slowly place her down on my bed and cover her up. Then I get back in bed and try to fall asleep. She has been having nightmares about the night our pack got attacked and my parents sacrificed them self while our pack quickly escaped. I don't know when it will end. She's been going to therapy every week but I don't think it's enough. I don't know if I can handle all this.
I mean, Alex has been behaving well but Harper keeps getting nightmares and my pack is scared about the rumors of the new alpha of the King pack, which is also the pack that killed my parents, Alpha King. He's known to be ruthless.
If I could just have one day without torture. I rarely sleep these days. At least I have an extra room for others, our pack is getting so big, are pack house has started to get cramped and no one wants to move out. Everyone and I mean everyone is living in the pack house. Soon I'm going to have to get my pack members to expand the pack house.
As I wake up and get dressed into a black shirt that says THE 1975 with jean shorts and top it off with my favourite green jacket. Then I grab my white sneakers, my ALMOST FAMOUS hat with my glasses that I only sometimes wear. Then, I take a look at my bag and decide to bring it so I don't look like I'm their obvious alpha, a pack member mind links me that my pack is being attacked.

I run outside to find my pack member fighting the men. I quickly mind link the pack, "Rogues or a pack?"
Then as I'm fighting off the wolves two people mind link me with two different answers.
"Rogues!"
"A pack! It's the King pack!"
Hearing the second response I go pale. "Okay all women take the children and go into our secret basement and whoever can please bring blankets. I'm not sure how long this is going to take but there is food in the fridge and ingredients for those who want a specific food. You may have fun in there but whatever you do don't go out please. And guards, guard the dungeon and the secret basement please! Hurry! We will fight them off!" I mind link and I see the women gathering children and running in the direction of our pack house. I spot the alpha quickly because it is quite obvious with his alpha aura and all of his pack members are bowing to him as he walks by.
I start walking up to him and I can hear my wolf, Aurora yelling at me excitedly about something.
"Omg Arei! I think we're going to find our mate!" she exclaims.
"From the King pack? I doubt it, I'm probably going to reject him anyways." I reply back scoffing.
"No Arei! You need your mate to live. You can't reject him!" she cries back shaking her head and almost crying.
"I can and I will. I don't need my mate, I'm a perfectly good female alpha without a mate. I refuse to have a mate from the King pack. They killed my parents Aurora. I can't and I won't." I answer frustrated.
"Really Arei? If your such a good alpha, how come you keep getting attacked?" She snaps.
That hurt a lot so I decided to block me and Aurora's mind link. I know she's right and I'm probably just overreacting but I still can't get over my parent's death.
I walk up to Alpha King so we're staring at each other and before I can say or ask anything, he beats me to it.
"MATE!" He growls so loud that everyone from his pack andmy pack submits to him.
