I feel desperately alone most days.
There's no one around to talk to. No one to laugh with. Cry with. Sit next to in silence.
I was alone.
Until you came.
I don't know why you came, but I'm grateful. I don't know why you're sitting there, peering in at me, listening to my words. You'll probably go soon, and I'll die.
But for now, you're here.
And I like it.
I think I'll sleep better tonight. I have company.
