"We have to be early." Dad argued.

"But the flight doesn't leave 'till 7!" I whined.

"Yes, but we still have to drive there, line up for registration and security checks."

It was currently 6am, and Dad woke me up at 5:30am. Bad idea. He's lucky that I'm excited for this trip, or I would be raging.

'It shouldn't be too bad though, I could always sleep on the flight.' I convinced myself.

I was wearing extremely baggy grey sweatpants that actually belong to my Nana, a purple sweater that has 'ESPRIT' printed in white at the front, and a black WINGS Era baseball cap (BTS). Don't ask why with the cap, I guess I just wanted to feel like a celebrity under cover, although I doubt anyone know I exist.

I dragged a blue suitcase full of my own clothes to the car, with my black school bag hanging off my shoulders. Dad carried a big suitcase that held my shoes and a couple blankets.

We chucked them into the boot of Dad's Mazda MPV, hopped into the car, and drove off towards Waitara; where the closest airport is.

Apparently, Joss and the others flew over here in a private jet, so we're leaving in that same jet. Now, I was excited for that.

We decided to meet up just around the corner of the airport's car park in hopes to avoid public attention. then, we some how walk to reception, and get to the jet without running into any fans. Not that I have any...

"Put some music on Dad." I told him.

He reached over and turned the car's radio on. I wasn't surprised when 'Bat Outta Hell' by Meatloaf started playing. The only radio channel Dad listens to is the one Alice Cooper runs, and do you know Alice Cooper's music taste?

It's pretty good.

"Like a bat outta hell I'll gone when the morning comes!" Dad and I yelled/screeched. We basically jammed the whole way to the air port.

When we arrived at the meeting spot, I took my phone out of my pants pocket, put earphones in and listened to music on there.

And yes, the song was BTS 'DNA'.

"Do you see them?" I asked Dad as we both looked around.

"Over there." Dad pointed towards the plain of grass to the left. Sure enough, as I gazed over to the grass, we saw the whole group had already gathered. We were the last ones to arrive. Bugger.

Dad had already left the car and opened the boot by the time I had exited the automobile.

"Heyo guys." I greeted them with the group waving back at me. I walked to the back of the car and helped dad unload my luggage.

"Welp, I guess this is goodbye." I started.

"Yup." Dad stated.

"Well, see you in around 6 months I guess."

"Yup."

This conversation was not as awkward as you think. Dad and I just don't talk about our feelings as openly as most people.

We then proceeded to hug each other, my head on his chest and my arms wrapped around his torso.

"See you in 6 months." Dad said. I smiled as I pulled away from the hug, swinging my bag over my shoulders and picking up both suitcases.
