Chapter 1

Lumine's POV

"Lumine wake up," Kody nudged my arm, groaning when I wouldn't get up. "Ughhhh. Whyyy?" I protested, dragging out the 'y.'

"School, Kody you just need to push him." I heard Aiden's voice say.
"Fine, I'm up, happy now?" I got out of my bed. Kody started to blush a light pink and I looked down to see I was still in my boxers, "OH."

I quickly grabbed my blanket and held it infront of me then heard a click from Aiden's direction. Then he quietly said, "Dang it." We both looked his way as he swiftly left my room.

"DAD!" Kody started down the hall after him. Finally some time to get ready. I pulled on my hoodie and jeans then went to the kitchen for some breakfast. It smelled like pancakes.
"Mmm! Smells great," I looked over and saw Sherry cooking.

"Sherry? You're cooking? What's the occasion?" She gave a slight glare.
"Sherry here just wanted to make some pancakes for you guys," Aiden came up behind me with Kody running to catch up with him.

"Eat up you two, we've got to go soon."
As soon as we finished breakfast we got into the car and headed to school.
I always liked going to school with kody because we had to sit so close together in the car. It was the best to just sit next to him and talk. We finally get to school and head off to our separate classes.

I think about Kody throughout the day and when the final bell rang I ran to our meeting spot.

"Hey, Lumine!" I hear Elijah's voice call to me. I just wave in response.
"You waiting for Kody?"

"Yeah, actually Elijah can I ask you a question?" I looked down at my shoes.
"Of course! What's up?" The smile quickly went fron his face when I asked
"Is it okay that I'm gay?"

"Y-yeah! That's completely fine!" He blushed a dark pink while stumbling over his words. I saw Kody coming around the corner and started to blush, then I saw that he was with a girl and I started to get a little jealous.

As she walked away she blew him a kiss. Kody looked to me with a shaken look, uneven breaths leaving his mouth.

"Lumine, I need help."
