This short story was written for the simple purpose of submission for our subject, Creative Non-Fiction. Delighted with being required to do a project I am fond of, I dug deep into my heart, plucked out the story I have wanted to tell for so long, sat down in the comforts of my room, and then started writing.
What inspired me the most to write this story in the way it was written was the novel 1984 by George Orwell. I felt like the setting of this novel is congruous to a story such as mine, giving me the opportunity to make an environment that perfectly depicts and reflects the situation of the character involved.
Needless to say, I am highly satisfied with what turned out of this project and pleased with the fact I was able to tell a story I have been wanting to share in quite a long time but never found the motivation to do so until this task was put upon me.
This is a story for no one but myself.
