Seeing as my book is sectioned into months, I dont want to make you guys wait to long for updates Im not sticking to the true chapters. In it's true form the book wont have parts of the chapters. (At least I dont think so.) April Part One is dedicated to SunsetBird... Another one of my partners in crime. She's just not as heavy on the crime... and I'm sure that she will LOVE all the swearing.

APRIL

The bus is jumping, causing my stomach of butterflies to bash their wings. Throughout all the lurching, I see Alec. His hands are glued to his cellphone and he cannot stop grinning. Every 30 seconds, his phone vibrates.

Pulling an earphone out, I say “So do I see a Facebook relationship status change in your future?”

His smile widens for a second, but he lowers it to a smug grin. “We changed it last night. Just following you orders.” He shrugs. “What was up with you last night?”

“Oh... nothing... I am happy for you and Rubz.” Then, I retreat back to the world of Iris.

The seas of this high school are ablaze, and I am the disdained Moses. My feet part the water because the waves are sickened. They dare not be tainted by my touch. I expect that today I will be a whisper glared at but not approached... hopefully.

My fingers ritualistically swing my locker pen, and I half-heartedly search for the proper books. Then my shoulder slams into metal., my face nearly eating the mound of unknown papers.  A cackle sweet as sin erupts behind me. Pulling myself up, I see Courtney’s angelic smile as she coos, “ Oh Aiobheann! I am so very sorry!”

“Sorry my ass.” I grumble as I reach my full height.

“What did you say?” Gremlin (Gracie) growls, baring her teeth like some beastial thing.

“Oh nothing,” I growl back. Directing my attention back to Courtney, I keep my tone light. “It’s no problem. I know how impossible it is to ‘rule the school’ without leaving heel prints in the backs of us peasants.. Oh wait.. isn’t ruling Lyn’s job?” I feel the anger inside me becoming untethered, releasing pent up tension. My fists beg to break air.

“Oh Aiobheann, what would you know about ruling anything or anyone? You cannot even handle yourself.” Beneath her sickly sweet tone, Courtney’s feathers are ruffled.

“The only difference between you and me is that I did not sacrifice my soul to the devil.”

“Says the redheaded hellion.” Courtney is transforming in front of me. Her normally chesnut eyes have turn black with hellish fervor. A frame of frayed wings seems to jut from her prickling skin. Feathers grow from pores bleeding demons’ blood. The air makes it sizzle and crack...........

…..........maybe I am schizo..

“Excuse me.” God bless you, Emma. I throw gratitude as the girl asks Courtney to step aside. A defeated demonic angel, she and the gremlin storm away. I turn towards Emma.

“Hey!....uh??” That’s when I see the curls, a flicker of darkness down the hallway. For some reason, the way that they bounce makes my stomach flutter.

I leave a confused Emma starring after my stutter and pray that she doesn’t think that I’m tongue tied from a crush on her. I turn the toes of my combat boots towards the fleeting curls, following them in a crowd of furious onlookers. I feel their hatred, arduous shock, and chastising thoughts form a funnel of dark cloud. It dares to try and capture me. I am gone. I am chasing the wind.

It takes me about two minutes to realize that she’s not here, and that I am not finding her. Now being on time to math, that’s something I might be able to pull off. My fingers wrap protectively over Polley, my neon green calculator, and I book it.
