Manik's pov
"Chal Manik kaam pe lag ja" Cabir shouted in my ears
"Kya Cabir sone de na " I murmured
"Time dekha hai?"
"3 pm"
"Aj raat ko hoga"
"What?"
I sprang up and saw it was 6pm.Oh God I needed to clean two store rooms before morning and yes I gotta need to sleep as well because I didn't know what task was waiting for me tomorrow.
"Shit I slept for three hours"
"Chal ab rona band kar go and start your Swacha Storeroom Mission"
"Cabir this is not a joke" I glared at him
"Really? Wese mai soch raha tha yeh Amms ko aese idea aate kaha se hai?" Cabir asked thoughtfully
"Jaha se bhi aata hai na bada maza aata hai Kasam Matarani ki." Navya came up with a bucket and a squeezee and some cleansers
"Seriously Navya yaha meri band baji hui hai and you're enjoying this?" I rolled my eyes
"Haa dekho humein iss tumhare talents k bare mein pata chal raha." She stated laughingly
"Very funny now let me go" I gritted at Cavya and left with the bucket and squeezee
It was almost an hour and I was dusting all the broken furnitures of one store room.
And my love Nandini didn't come to help me. Huh🙄

Nandini's pov
Amms kept me busy in cooking. I wish I could go and help Manik but it was already 7pm.
I hurried to the store room and found Manik squatting on the floor.I was facing his back.I came near him and found him spraying Colin on the floor.
"Yeh kya kar rahe ho tum?" I raised my brows
"Dikh nahi raha saaf kar raha hu."
"Aese?" I pointed to the liquid he had spread on the floor
Manik rolled his eyes and said
"Nandini stop disturbing me."
"Manik I'm here to help you."
"So you should have come tomorrow then"
"Manik!!"
"What?"
"I was busy in cooking Amms chor nhi rhi thi.See abhi I got time sorry" I held my ears
"Thik hai thik hai ab bataogi is tiny se bottle se mai pura floor kaise saaf karu?"
"Awww Manik you're so cute." I pulled his cheeks
"Nandini don't touch my cheeks..kk?"
"Okay so Mr Manik Malhotra doesn't know how to clean the floor?"
He ignored my remark and spayed a little more of Colin and took the broom and started sweeping the tiled floor.
"Aiyappa kya karu mai is ladke ka?"
"I can do this on my own. I don't need you or your Aiyappa."
"Fine but aese nahi karte okay. Colin is for cleaning tv screens or mirrors not for floors.Okay"
I took the broom from his hand showed hin how to sweep and he did as directed.
Once he swept the floor I asked him to pour one bucket of water and I went to fetch some snacks for us.
I came back and I slipped
"Manikkk!!!"
"Nandiniiii!!!"
He came running to hold me up but in return he too lost his balance and we both came down on the wet floor with me over Manik.
It was followed by our cute eyelocks.I just wanted to hug him. He was my Manik after all😍
"Ummm Nandini it's wet."
"Huh!! Chii Manik!!"
He eyed me to the right and I saw his jacket wet with the floor water
"Oops sorry!!"
I got up and extended my hand to lift him up.
"Waise kya keh rahi thi...Chii Manik and all that?"
Aiyappa Manik and his teasing!!
"K-kuch nahi."
He cocked an eyebrow
"Oh my God Nandini tum woh sab---- "
I didn't let him complete and ran away from the spot.

It was around 11pm when Amms came to pay a visit to Manik.Yes until then Manik had completed his task.Everyone came one by one and stood rooted to their spots as if Amms would be declaring the result of their fates.
"Ummmm clean toh acha kiya hai I hope kisi ne help nahi ki iski" Amms glared at at all of them
"No Amms Manik did it by himself" Mukti answered
"Good work Manik!! Well you passed three tests seven more are there. Hope you could complete them as well." Amms looked at Manik
"Thank you Amms I'll surely complete them."
"Amms kal ka task kya hoga?" Navya asked all at once
"Be at the byre at 7am" Amms stated and left.
"Means ab byre mein chalega Manik ka magic" Navya giggled
"Shut up Navya!!" screamed Manik
Hearing Manik's scream Nandini took him along with her to spend another night in the balcony.They both knew tomorrow would be a tough day for them.
