Credence X reader
Requested characterY/n PoV
I stand in the alleyway, glancing at the children with the leaflets. They are against witchcraft- they're wicked informer, a woman by the name of Mary-Lou Barebone. They've been lead to believe that it is dangerous, and sinful- along with many other things.
There is one Barebone child that I've grown particularly close with.
Credence Barebone.
A poor broken soul, with the heart of an angel.
Mary-Lou beats him, he has told me.
It is those nights when he turns up at my doorstep shaking with fright, cuts on his hands- the sting of the belt still there, it is those nights where I am glad my friend, Tina, did what she did.
He is still unaware to the fact I am a witch. The time isn't right, not yet.
I sigh as I see credence attempt to hand one of the leaflets to a passer by. The man is tall and slim and wears a suite, looking like he's in a hurry he pushes past credence whispering the word I know to be one of Credence's biggest insecurities.
"Freak"
I clutch my coat and walk over to Credence, he notices me and a small smile appears on his face.
"Hello y/n" he whispers, his eyes darting back and forth nervously.
"Hey credence"
I embrace him into a hug, his body is tense and cold- he isn't used to such affection.
Poor boy.
He soon relaxes into my touch, I pull back too soon.
I look into his deep brown eyes.
In a way they are beautiful.
But they are also full of pain.
"Meet me at my place tonight, Credence?" I ask more than tell.
I know if his monster of a mother were to catch him it would be catastrophic.
He nods, offering me a leaflet.
I smile and take one from his hand.
As I leave I notice a necklace around his neck, suspending from a silver chain.
Where did he get it from? There will be a part 2 and possible 3
I'm sorry this doesn't go anywhere.
