BeforeToby lied down next to her he looked around the room. Everythinglooked still the same. Nothing has changed since he has been in therethe last time. Then a picture on Spencer's nightstand caught hisattention. It was a picture he knew very, very well. Aria had takenit with her new camera on their 2 year anniversary. It showed himand Spencer smiling into the camera, Spencer was on Toby's shoulders.Toby still remembered this moment. They have been the happiest, henever thought anything could destroy their love. But it gotdestroyed. And Toby hated this fact. Toby hated it more than anythingelse, especially because he knew that things would never be the sameagain between him and her. There was absolutely no chance that shestill loved him; he was sure! When Toby lleaned forward to grab thephoto he heard a soft voice from behind him. „This has always beenmy favourite photo. I couldn't just throw it away!" „Now!",Toby thought! „Tell her about your feelings!" He cleared histhroat and turned around so he could face Spencer. She looked intohis eyes, her eyes full of insurance and fear. When he didn't sayanything she wanted to stand up „Just... just forget it.. maybe itwould be the best if you left now. „Spence!", he said. He pulledher closer so that their foreheads almost touched. „I used to lovea girl," he started. „Once I told her that pretending not to loveher had been the hardest thing I had ever done. She is definitely themost amazing person in this world and she deserves everything.Pretending not to love her was the biggest mistake I've ever done. Iwould lie to myself if I said I was not in love with her anymore.Yes, I am still falling for this girl. Every minute I see her, myhead is a complete mess. I can't think clear anymore. But everyminute I am not with her, she is still in my mind. I see her gorgeouseyes, her wonderful smile in front of me and at the same time I know,things will never be the the same again between her and me, because Ilost this girl. Because I didn't fight enough for her. And this makesme sad.Sadder than anyone will ever know. I can't describe thisfeeling, it feels like there is a big hole in my body right at theplace where my heart should be. It is like my heart just stopped. Andnow this perfect girl, my life, my oxygen was about to do somethingstupid. I could have lost her forever! And I can't believe that shewould do that to me." Spencer lied there, unable to say a word. Shehas bursted into tears after he said the first few sentences, but shehid them so Toby couldn't see them. She looked away. „Well, Ishould probably go now." Toby said unnaturally shy. When he turnedaround and was about to keave the room, he felt a hand grabbing hisand pushing him back to the bed. Spencer was sitting now and staringat him, not trying to hide her tears any longer. „What do you wantto tell me?", Spencer asked softly and more calmed than he thoughtshe would be. „I..., well I,..", Spencer looked at himexpectantly. Toby swallowed. Then he took out the pocket watch out ofhis pocket. „Spencer Jill Cavanaugh, I love you. I think I neverstopped loving you:" he finally said. „Well, then why do you wantto leave?", Spencer said with a little smile on her face. Toby wassurprised, he didn't know what to answer. She stood up and pulledToby closer. Without hesitating any longer she pressed her lips onhis. When there was no reaction on his side she pulled away andlooked into his eyes a bit scared. „Sorry", she mumbled andlooked away. „This was too rushed, i didn't..." she couldn't sayanything else, because Toby pulled her closer to his chest. So closethat she could hear his heartbeat. His heart beated fast , butSpencer assumed that it beated only half as fast as her own heart. Heput a finger on her lips so she had to stop her sentence. „I alsotold this princess that she should never apologize for what she issaying or doing!" Then he pressed his lips on hers and practicallyforced her to kiss him back. Spencer's head switched off. This wasdefinitely one of the best kisses she has ever had. So sweet andpassionate at the same time. She didn't want this kiss to ever stop.The last thing she could think was „goddamit I love this guy!"She forgot about everything she just wanted to enjoy this momentforever, she wanted to share this with her one and only love TobyCavanaugh.
