Family Troubles

"Come on Matt, get your Runner and we're heading home, okay"my father says. "Yes sir" I reply. So I get on my Runner (Basically Yusei's Runner but blue) and we begin to head home.

"What were you thinking dueling the Dark Signer, you could've gotten yourself killed" my father says in an upset voice. "I didn't have a choice, he forced me into the duel as soon as he showed up, I couldn't do a thing other then duel him, I did beat him, though it was pretty close" I say

"At least you won, but please be careful, those Dark Signers aren't to be messed with, the fact that they're back so soon is unsettling enough, but is even more when they're targeting you" my father says.

"I understand father, but I might not have a choice, I don't want to be part of this, but I have to, because I have the feeling the Dark Signers aren't going to let up the assault on anyone" I say.

My father sighs. "Yeah, I guess you're right, though I'm not happy that they're after you, especially since after your mother..." my father stops. I already knew what he was going to say. After my mother died, more of these things began to happen, my mother died protecting me and my sister from a rouge Dark Signer puppet, back from the war my father was in before. I don't remember much other then the scream, my mothers scream, and my father dueling the man and finishing him off in a duel.

My mother was Akiza Fudo, she was married to  my father not to long after the incident with the Meklords. Then not to long after that my sister and I was born.

"The point is, you  have to be careful, otherwise the Dark Signers will beat you in a duel and could kill you, please be careful" my father says.

I felt guilty I caused all of this worry in my father. "I will do my best to avoid the Dark Signers, I promise" I say.

"Thank you" my father says. We drove in silence after that until we got home. "Listen Natasha isn't here tonight, she has to work the late shift tonight, so do you just want to go out for dinner" my father says.

I thought about this for a moment. Then I knew what I wanted to do for dinner. "Can we go to Martha's place, she cooks the best soup" I ask. We almost never get to go to Martha's house anymore, mainly because Natasha thinks the place is dumb and if we do go over there she gets really mad. "Sure Matt, let's refuel our runners and we'll go over, don't forget the card Martha gave you" my father says.

"I already have it, I never let go of it" I says. I wasn't going to tell him if I didn't have the card I would of lost the duel, he would just get even more worried. I take out a card from my back pocket. 

It's the card my sister gave me. Tri Head Dust Dragon, a Number Card. The man could play a Number, does that mean I can too?

"Then let's refuel our runners" my father says. I go into the garage and grab our fuel. I open the tank to my Runner and pour some fuel in. Then my father takes the container and refills his Runner. Then we're on our way.

It took about 15 minutes to get there, but it was worth it. We arrived at the house. I took my helmet off and placed it on my Runner. The I ran into the house.

"Hey look who's here, it's Matt" I hear as soon as I open the door. I see Martha when I open the door all I way. I just walk up and hug her. "How have you been Martha" I ask. "Pretty good, though it's never the same without you or your father, where is he by the way" Martha says. "He should be in real soon" I reply.

I could see out of the corner of my eye some orange and blond hair coming from the dining room. "How have your last month been Matt" my uncle Crow says. "Pretty good, you guys" I say. "Could be better, I'm pretty sure everyone here saw the huge spider" Jack says.

At that I couldn't help but have a nervous smile on my face."Yeah about that, I may or may not of dueled the Dark Signer" I say

Then Leo and Luna came into the room hearing every word. "WHAT" all of them yell. "I don't like it either, but he did duel the Dark Signer and he won, we can at least celebrate that fact, though I don't like that the Dark Signer are back, even with five Signers we still need the 6th since Leo became a Signer, we need to find the new Signer" my father says entering the house. "You're right Yusei, but how are we going to figure out who that is, last time it took an entire tournament to find out about us" Jack says

"Then we can't have another tournament, we don't have the time, we need to figure out how  where the negative energy is coming from, if we don't and we don't know how to stop it, then we can't stop the Dark Signers" Crow says

Just then I had an idea. "Did you guys ever shut down the tower my mother dueled Misty at" I say

They all had a dark look on their face, though I don't know if it was the mention of my mother or the fact they never shut the tower down.

"No, and knowing the Dark Signers they would of activated the other towers again, so we have to duel them all over again" Luna says.

"That isn't good" Leo says.

"No it isn't" my father replies.

"Well we know where the towers are at don't we" I say. "Yes, though the Dark Signers will learn from last time, they're going to have more defense this time, and we don't even know who any of the Dark Signers are this time, and last time we got to some of them and that made us determined to take them down, this time we don't have a clue who any of them are" Crow says

"Actually you might know who I am, Yusei" we hear outside. My fathers eyes widen, I could tell he knew who he was.

"Trudge" my father says in shock. I look outside to see the man in a black cloak with blue in mysterious  markings through down the top, revealing a man with a police badge on him, and a black scar on the side of his face.

"Trudge, why are you a Dark Signer" my father asks. "Because you go me kicked out the force then once I got fired I lost my deck, then a gang jumped me, and they killed me, then I was reborn as a Dark Signer, and I'm here to take you down, and whoever stands in my way of taking you down" Trudge says

Then I noticed the mark on his arm, it was a serpent. That wasn't one of the traditional marks from the beginning war, does that mean there is more then six Dark Signers, god this was going to be bad.

"If I have to fight you Trudge, then let-" my father get cut off. "I'll do it" I blurt out. "No Matt, I can't have you do this, he could kill you" my father says. "He could do the same to you dad, I can't let that happen, I'm sorry" I say.

I got my duel disk from my runner and turn to Trudge. "Let's go then" I say. Trudge turns to my father. "You're going to let him do this" he says. "I can't do anything to stop him" my father says.

"Fine then, guess I'll just have to squash him"Trudge says.

"LET'S DUEL" we yell
