The water gave out a soft sound, as it rushed through the woods, back to the ocean. A strong breeze making the beautiful oaks surrounding wave back and forth. You could hear the bird's song echo within the forest along with a child's laughter, making everything so peaceful. Next to the river sat a father and daughter. The father, had raven black hair with white spots rising from the bottom, fox like ears with the tips a pure white. He had two tails with the same pattern following the tree's movement, swaying back and forth. Crimson eyes soften at his child's laughter. He wore a large brown cloak, with minor steel armor on and a beautiful black sword at his side. His arms had quite a few scars rising upwards, he was tall and strong. Her father resembled a basic shadow kitsune. On the other hand, his daughter seemed to be quite different. Her hair was a wavy dark brown with blonde specks. Her ears flicked showing blonde tips with a sharp honey like ring pattern around them. She only had one tail with two rings. Along with a russet pair of eyes, the girl wore a large red bandana around her neck to match. She had a black hooded outfit which seemed to be a bit too big for her, for she was small and thin and was no kitsune of power. Of course, even if the two were different with styles and looks, it didn't seem to loosen their bound.

"Say where are we going again? We've been walking for ages dad " the young kit yawned as she tapped her feet and flicked her tail back and forth. Her father chuckled.

"Now Epédos I've already told you we are almost there we just have to walk a bit more upwards" her father's voice had a natural stern tone to it. He then stood up, fixing himself and re positioning his sword. Epédos grinned and hopped back up to her feet.

"So what's the surprise anyways!" She chirped, as the two began walking again.

Her father only shook his head.

"You're very persistent aren't you"

"Mom says I get it from you"

"Your mom says that about everything that goes wrong with you and your brothers"

"Then you must have bad traits!"

"Now that's not very nice...."

"Oh I'm sorry"

"Now that's sarcasm"

"Yeah..."

"According to your mother, you must get that from me"

"Oh, are you sure it's not from her?"

"Maybe both" Her father's ears flicked towards the sound of shuffling. Epédos quickly turned her head to the general direction and went closer to her father's side. She shot her father a glance of concern. He continued to walk, the girl frowned knowing her father heard it too. She didn't question too much. Soon a large gust of wind blew from the small hill downwards. Epédos's eyes widened. She could smell fresh water from above. Her ears flicked at every small sound, ranging from bells to the shuffling within the trees. Her father watched in amusement at her actions. The two picked up their pace and finally reached the top. Epédos's eyes widened from shock. In addition, her tail had stopped moving completely. Before her was paradise. A large lake surrounded by angel and cherry blossom trees. Each tree seemed to have been placed perfectly apart from each other. Small bells wrapped around the branches. And in between each tree was a white and black fox statue, all holding some type of scroll. The lake was gorgeous, for it was a bright sky blue, with cherry petals scattered upon it. There was even a stone bridge reaching across the lake to a large fox statue. The statue had 9 tails, and it's head looking upwards towards the sun. One could easily see slight marks upon the stone, minor scratches on the statue, whilst the stone faded its original colors. Epédos began to unconsciously walk towards the statue in the middle. Only to have herself brought back to reality from her father's tap.
