Her hair is black. It is long and soft. Her eyes like diamonds. Her skin like porcelain. Her teeth perfect.
Miku Ami is this young girl's name.
She is 15 and has to be home schooled at the hospital she stays in.
Born with this cancer, she stayed strong for her mother and father.
She kept her heart beating with her compation for music.
Her mother praying every night for her daughter. You see that Miku's heart is in pain with every tear her mother cries. You see the stress on her father's face every time the hospital bills come in. All this sorrow and pain, and yet, Miku smiles with joy. She tells you, "I may not have long to live, but I have to tell you that love is found with your family and with your friends. It is found with your art and music. It is found with your heart and your mind. Not with money and not with idems. Remember this Willi."
You notice how wise she is.
You, how ever feel as if you are not.
You have bright blond hair and blue eyes. You have freckles and you blush when you are embarrassed.
You like that she is confident in you. You like that she is your friend. You pray for a merical to happen for her to live forever and ever.
You always say,
"Dear lord, please give the Ami family peace. Let Miku be cancer free. Put this all on me. Please lord, I pray."
You say this every night out your window before you slip under your blankets and fall fast asleep. Like clock work. Every night at the same time in the same place.
You always wake up to Miku singing softly by your side. You like this, she says she is your big sister and you have always wanted a big sister. You always wanted a sibling in general.
You are the only child, and you are an orphan. You are hoping for the Ami's to adopt you.
You tell Miku every morning, "I wish you were my big sister by adoption at least."
She always replies with, "I am your sister with or without adoption papers, with or without blood, and with or without life."
You smile and hug her for a good half hour.
You know that God has been answering your prayers and is keeping Miku alive for this family. For you.
