·CHAPTER TWO·
WEarrived at the playground just after 11. Brandon got Thomas out of the car and carried him over to the grass under the big oak tree while I was getting the food and drinks out the boot.
We'd been to this playground plenty of times togetherand we just knew it'd be the perfect place for Tommy to play. It was called Devil's Lake Playground. When I was Thomas's age, mum always used to take me there and I wouldn't stop playing for hours.
"Meegy, I wan pay!" Thomas yelled at me.
"Have you eaten yet Tommy?" I asked him.
"I don wan eat. I jus wan pay! On big paygwoun," He told me.
"Tommy, listen to your sister. Or I'll tackle you little fella," Brandon said.
I got some Honey Soy Chicken chips out and we ate them but Tommy chrushed them more then ate them. Instead of eating chips Tommy had some apple pieces. He loves fruit more than any other food which is great.
After we'd eaten, Brandon chased Tommy to the playground and I just stayed under the big oak tree.
"Babe come over and play," Brandon told me.
I got up and went over to where Thomas and Brandon were. He was such a good father figure. I wished that in days we could have a child of our own.
I sat on the swing and Brandon came over and laid on top of me and kissed me.
"Today has been great babe," he said as he held me in his arms.
"It has," I said back.
We gather the picnic gear and put it in the car. I picked up Thomas and put. him in the car and he helped put his belt on even though he was only 2.
"I wuv you Meegy and Bwandn," Thomas said to us.
"We love you too Tommy," Brandon replied.
