jimin and namjoon had been best friends since they were in diapers. i mean, literally, there are photos of them playing with each other in their diapers. the two had a really nice friendship. key word: had. they both sort of drifted apart when namjoon sort of became a huge math dick. though namjoon was as smart as that guy sitting next to him, he was also a grade A asshole.

meanwhile, jimin, on the other hand was... a little less than average when it came to how he stood on the social scale. he had very little friends, but enjoyed being in band. with a little chem on the side. namjoon would party every weekend while jimin would either have a concert or just watch 80's movies with his friends. they both fell into very different social categories, and the reason they stopped being friends was because a fight. and boy was it a big one.

"what the fuck joon, you said you'd go, but instead you're fucking some whore ?!" jimin screamed at the elder. he'd been upset because he invited namjoon to his first concert, but namjoon blew jimin off because he had a date.

"listen, i don't know why you're so mad, just calm dow-"

"no !" jimin's face was red, "i invited you because i wanted you to see what i've been doing ! we barely talk anymore since you entered high school and now i feel like you've forgotten me"

namjoon's expression changed, "oh ? so this is my fault ? you know what, it's not my fault that i actually have a life ! it's not my fault that you're still stuck in the past ! and it most certainly isn't my fault that you're a little clingy selfish faggot !"

that word. jimin never would've thought that the first person to call him that would be his best friend.

"get out"

"jimin i'm-i'm sorr-"

"what the fuck did i just say ?! get the fuck out namjoon, i don't wanna hear it !"

and just like that the two had become best friends to strangers in the matter of seconds.
