joon sat in the nurse's office staring down at jimin, watching his chest rise and fall. how peaceful he looked. stroking his head, waiting for him to wake up, he couldnt get over how beautiful the younger looked.

"jesus jiminie why'd you  have to go and faint on me like that, huh ?" jimins nose scrunched and tried swatting  joons hand away before  going back to his peaceful sleeping self. namjoon lightly chuckled at the jimins attempt to get the older away "so cute" and for the next few minutes,  everything seemed normal, like they were the best of friends again...oh why did that stupid nurse have to come in and spoil everything.

she got a warm  wet towel and asked joon to press it against jimins forehead, a minute passed and the younger woke up. the last thing jimin wanted to see was  sitting right beside him and he just glared.

"well arent you going to say 'thank you' to your friend here ?" the nurse asked

"no." jimin said as he look away from joon

"hey come on now, dont be like jiminie" joon grabbed jimins shoulder, only for jimin to zoom back around. jimin faced namjoon with the most angry look on  his face,

"do. not. call me that,  you lost that right a long time ago" he gritted.

joon, taken aback, laid off of jimin.  and in that moment he look so shocked and vulnerable he almost looked like a child who had just been told 'no' in a candy store, jimin thought it was.....cute. wait what. this made jimin even more annoyed with the older, it wasnt fair that he got to look so cute even when jimin was mad at him.

"why are you here anyway ?" jimin asked trying to soothe the awkward tension right now.

joon scratched his neck, "i was w-worried thats all.....its not like we're strangers jimin"

for some reason this made jimins heart skip a beat, he thought it was sweet. however, jimin didnt want to feel like that towards namjoon, out of all people why did he have to get flustered around him.

"well im all better now so....so you can go hyung"  using the honorific was jimins own way of saying 'thank you'. he hadnt called joon that in years, he wondered if it meant anything to him after all this time. namjoon was, again, taken aback by the sudden use of the honorific, he thought he was finally getting his best friend back, the only one he wanted to be friends with. he took jimins hand, and to his surprise, jimin didnt pull away,

"thank you jimin" and with that, he gave him a little smile and left.

jimin didnt feel like going back to class so he just went home. once he got home he crashed on his bed and stared at the ceiling, contemplating about joons behavior earlier.

why does he have to act all sweet all of the sudden ? where was this attitude two years ago ? the  boy wondered. why didnt i pull my hand away ? this question was a big one, one that he thought about for the rest of the day, tossing and turning in his bed trying to find an answer. when nightfall hit, he still hadnt found his answer. well, one that he had liked anyway. this whole time he hadnt thought twice about namjoon, and now, ever since that night, hes been all the younger could think about. full of curiosity and wonder, the boy scrolled through joons instagram, seeing the side of him that he knew and loved. he saw many photos of his hyung riding his bike and helping crabs go back to their homes. he saw him at art museums with kim taehyung, and a video of joon and his dog. oh how jimin misses seeing that dog. all of the memories from when they were kids came flooding back, making jimin miss joon even more, missing how he made him feel back then. and then, as if the universe could see how much jimin really missed his best friend, a notification popped up just as the boy was going to eat dinner
