"Are you talking to me?" I ask her. She nods her head yes. She can see me now. I decided now would be the best time to ask some questions.

"Little girl, why are you out here and where is your parents." I ask.

"I don't know, I can't remember anything." She responds in a quiet voice.

Ok, things just got a bit harder on remembering my past.

Present-

I don't actually know what to do at the moment. Their isn't a point in trying to ask anything since she doesn't remember anything.

As I'm thinking of a solution I hear a wolf howl in the distance. Perhaps I need to take us somewhere safe first.

"Come on, we need to get somewhere safer." I tell the little girl. As we walk to who knows where I start thinking about what had happened. The girls' name is Sarah and if I'm being honest she kind of looks like me.

She had an empty bottle, similar to what she had last time I saw her. The memory lost matches what her dad told her. Isn't this great, and to top it off, I have no idea where we are going.

I look around a bit and notice a small cave entrance to our left. "Hey, let's go in there." I tell, I guess, little me as I point to the entrance. "Don't you think a bear or wolf could be in there?" She asks while taking my hand.

"The entrance is too small for an animal of their size, we should be fine." I reassure her. We squeezed our way into the small cave. It was barely big enough for me to stand full height, but it seems wide enough for both of us.

"So, are you sure you don't remember anything?" I ask. I'm hoping she remembers something, even if it's how she got out here. "Umm, I remember being chased by something and a lot of running." She says.

That wasn't really helpful, but I guess I asked for it. "Hmm, well that's ok. We will spend the rest of the day and night here." I tell her. She nods her head and starts looking around the cave.

As I'm about to sit down I hear talking. "Her scent leads here but it seems different." A gruff voice says. "What do you mean seems different?" A smooth voice says.

Oh no, it seems we have company and something tells me it's not the good kind. I look at the girl and put my finger to my lips. She nods but that's the last thing I see before everything goes black.

I open my eyes to see I'm outside of the cabin. What just happened? I look around and see the girl from before behind me.

"I hope that memory trip was beneficial." She says. It really wasn't. What was I suppose to get from that. "Judging from that look I'm assuming you didn't get the message." She says.

"Yeah, I didn't learn anything from that trip?" I tell her, very confused on what I missed. "Well, for one a memory potion doesn't remove ones personality. Secondly, you saw just how strong your will to survive is. No little girl would have survived out there alone no matter what species they are." She explains to me.

"But I was with her, she wouldn't have found that cave if I hadn't pointed it out.?" I tell her. And then she laughs. "Well, did you forget that she is you." She says. Before I could get a word in she disappears.

For some reason her explanation, even though I'm still confused, eased my mind a bit. I turn back to the cabin and open the door. When I walk in I'm back in Brandon's bed. The ice around the room gone but still very cold.

I get off the bed and look at the book that some how made its way back on the nightstand. I think I've had enough of memory lane for one day. I turn to the door and make my way down the hall. I'm going to go find Brandon, it feels like it's been too long since I've last seen him.
