"You can let go of me now," I said to Winsley. He loosened his grip and continued walking. I looked at Ash, she was wiping her face from crying. She looked over to me and gave a fake smile. I walked over to her and grabbed her hand and held without saying anything. We continued walking like that down the hall. I don't know why I did it, but it made me feel better.
Winsley led us to the one room where I fell through the wall. Everyone walked in silently, we were all too sad to say anything. I let go of Ash's hand and slumped in a corner, holding my face in my hands. I cried until I fell asleep, drifting off in a better place.
When I woke up, Winsley was gone, Taylor was pacing the room, and Ash was laying down sleeping.
"Taylor, where's Winsley?" I asked.
They stopped pacing, "I don't know he just walked out of the room and he hasn't come back yet."
"How long?"
"A while. Don't get worried though, Winsley can take care of himself."
Despite Taylor telling me not to worry, I was starting to grow really worried. I'm sure he will be fine, but all that is going through my head are all the bad things that could happen. He could get caught by a guard, or he purposely got himself killed, or Julie found him herself, the list could go on.
"Ughhh," I groaned, "Why is everything going bad?"
Nobody answered. I sighed and looked at the door, hoping that Winsley would come back soon. And just like he read my mind, he was stumbling into the room dragging somebody.
"Winsley, wh- "
I stopped, he managed to kidnap a guard. Not just any guard, a guard with a helmet.
"How?" I asked.
"He was all by himself." He replied, setting him down on the floor.
"Wow, that easy?" Taylor asked walking over.
Winsley nodded and walked over to Ash, "Wake up sleeping beauty."
She woke up yawning, "You're not my Prince Charming."
Ash sat up and saw the guard on the floor. She quickly jumped up and ran over to us, "How in the world?"
"He was by himself," I answered, "and Winsley got him."
"Wow Winsley, good job."
"It wasn't that hard," He smiled.
"Which one of us is getting in it?" Ash asked.
"I'm too tall and Taylor is too short," Winsley answered.
"I'll do it," I blurted, "I'll do everything. I know how to do everything."
Ash grabbed my arm and pulled me to face her.
"Are you sure?" She asked looking me in the eyes.
I nodded, "I've got this. I know what I'm doing."
She pulled me into a hug, "Be careful, please."
I nodded, "I will."
"Promise me."
I let go of her hug and looked at her, "I promise."
She smiled at me, "I'll help you get the armor and stuff on."
We stripped the guard of his armor and helmet and put it on me. I gave Ash a reassuring smile before she put the helmet on me. Winsley handed me a gun that the guard carried, "We'll stay and take care of him." He was going to make sure the guard didn't get up.
"I'll see ya on the flip side," I put two fingers on the upper part of the helmet and saluted them. Everyone did it back and then I was off.
I walked down the hallway back to the room where it all began, the control room. There were two officers standing outside the door.
"General Julie ordered me to dismiss you to help on the search of the criminals," I ordered.
"What? Really?" One of them asked.
"Are you questioning the General?" I asked roughly.
"No Ma'am"
"I'll take over for you two, just hurry."
"Yes Ma'am!"
And they were off, just like that. I sighed in relief, I couldn't believe that worked. I took my helmet off and sat at the computer, opening up a software to record myself. I had originally made copies to plaster them everywhere, but we had to leave them in my room. It opened and I took a deep breath.
"Hello citizens, I'm Kai Samuels. You may have known my mother and father, Jane and Mathew Samuels. They were killed and everyone said it was due to them not passing the test that everyone takes over the age of eighteen. That was a lie. They figured out a way to keep everyone alive on the ship without the tests."
I opened up the files to show everyone proof, "Here it says in hidden documents, that Dictator Julie had complete access to, that there is filters and self grown foods to last us for a while. She has hidden this information and has decided to kill off innocent people as an alternative. I'm here to inform you, that together we can stop this and save the ship in a peaceful and harmless way. We need to take a stand and stop Julie while we still can, before she kills you next. This is Kai Samuels out."
I stopped the recording and opened up the video file to upload it to the system so everyone could see. Before I could upload I heard someone clapping.
