"I noticed that you eat lunch by yourself?" Ray says. Elijah looks down at his lunch and nods lightly before looking backing up
"Yeah.." he replies quietly. His foot begins to tap at the floor out of anxiety and Ray is quick to notice as he speaks up.
"Well if you want you can come eat with us?"
"No thank you it's fine." Elijah says as he looks to the small group of kids, most of who are either laughing or looking at their phones.
"You sure?" Ray asks again. As Elijah is about to nod he notices a figure poking out from behind a tree. He tries to make out who it is and when he does his mind is set.
"Can I change my answer?" He asks with a small smile.
"Of course," Ray says with a small laugh, "follow me."
A little anxiously and nervously, Elijah picks up his backpack and follows along.
"Gabby! You know Elijah right?" Ray says with a smirk as she slings her arm around Gabby's shoulder making her come out of her hiding place.
"Yeah..." Gabby says while looking down.
"What's up shuckers!" Mia, another friend of the group, says loudly as she also finds her way under the tree.
"Perfect," Ray says under her breath, "Mia, come with me to the cafeteria yeah?" Ray nods her head to Gabby and Elijah and Mia gets the message as she nods her head, a smirk playing at her lips to match the one on Ray's.
Gabby starts to shake her head no furiously, but to no avail as Mia and Ray walk off with mocking smiles and quiet 'good lucks'.
Gabby starts to mutter death threats aimed at the two girls under her breath before she's stopped by a certain quiet, shy boy.
"So Gabby..."
