Nicholas Mendez | "The Inferno"
powers: fire and flight
Nickolas wringed out his hands in the bathroom and took a moment to breathe.
The water sizzled off his ever glowing red hands and Nickolas opened his eyes to look in the mirror.
Breathe. Inhale. Exhale.
His hands slowly lost their luster and he shuddered. He had to control his temper, but it was exhausting. Some days more than others.
A spark of anger flitted through his mind and he smashed his fist into the sink in front of him.
"Goddamn it!" He yelled, his furious voice echoing in the tiny bathroom.
I sound...pathetic. Wimpy. Like a pussy.
His hands started to sizzle again, this time little flames dancing along his palms. Nickolas shook his head and shoved his hands under the running water. He sighed as the flames extinguished.
I have to get better control over my temper. Goddamn it Nick, you always mess everything up.
Nickolas had almost smashed a kid's head into the ground at lunch after the poor guy ran into him. It was just an off day.
He shook off the water again and looked into his ugly grey eyes.
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
He should have known to never act on impulse, sending Leslie and him out there for a measly hack job.
Where is she anyways, Nick thought to himself, I haven't seen her all day.
He ran a hand through his red hair and exited the bathroom, not caring to turn off the running tap.
The hallways littered with students just lingering between the white and blue walls.
Nick craned his neck looking for a certain blonde haired person. As he spotted her, he almost laughed.
Although she might seem comfortable with hear arm draped across the meathead's chest with his hands resting on her hips, her face told a different story.
Her smile was tight- to the point her dimples were basically craters in her cheeks. Her eyes flickering with disgust, something Nickolas had picked up in his years of interaction with her.
He made his way over to her and slid against the peeling red paint of the metal lockers.
She turned her gaze from her flavor of the month to look at him. She smiled- relief flicking through her eyes.
The boy craned looked to where she was looking and nodded, "Hey."
"'Sup."
Leslie's eyes flicked over to Tanner and back to him.
