Now, on Thursday, Emmelene lay in her hammock, remembering Tuesday. She thinks of how she says to Jasper, "See you tomorrow!" She did not go see him on Wednesday. She did not go see him today. She longs to go see him. Since it is late, I will go see him tomorrow. She thinks to herself. She walks the hallway in her newly silent house; everyone is grieving. She lays in her bed, thoughts drowning her into sleep.

She wakes up on Friday. 3 days after the tragedy. She heads straight to the forest, deciding to skip school. It is excused anyway, she thinks sternly. She traipses through the forest, feet stomping. She tries to make her presence known without vocals.

"Emmelene! You've had me worried sick! Arent you supposed to be in school?"

She stands stature for a few seconds, as a tear rolls down her cheek. She brushes her firey red hair out of the way as she breaks the silence.

"Mother is dead."

The bear stares in the eerie quiet. He joins Emmelene in crying and they sit there in the small clearing for an hour, sharing tears. Emmelene gets up and hugs Jasper for a minute. They end the hug, and Jasper talks.

"I'm so sorry."

A moment of silence passes before the bear speaks again.

"I know how much she meant to you."

She wipes her tears away from her face.

"I miss her. I wish she could come back."

"I know you do."

The bear stretches and groans. His grin changes into a frown. She knows something is wrong.

"I hate to add onto the sadness, Emmelene."

"Tell me anyway."

"Food is getting scarce for me. I now have to travel onto that hunter's property."

"Be careful, Jasper. I know winter is coming so you're beginning to stock up, but Rowan shoots any animal that isn't welcome on his land."

She wipes away another tear. She just can't bear losing someone else. Just the thought makes her upset. She says her signature goodbye.

"See you tomorrow."

She heads back to the house, thoughts jumping through her brain. Dark is approaching, so she heads up the front steps, grabs some pizza off the stove, and heads upstairs into her room, ready to enter the calming sensation of sleep.

HA DID ANYONE NOTICE MY PUN? HAHAHAHAHHAA. im sorry. it was the word bear. *hehehe* ~S
