*Ben's POV*

My sister dragged me along to the mall with her, I really didn't need to go but she literally threatened me if I didn't come, and I don't wanna wake up bald tomorrow. I drove her to Beverly mall and followed her to whatever store she wanted to go to. Our first store was Footlocker, I remembered all of those Footlocker NBA commercials and almost busted out laughing in public.

"I want these." Nikki showed me a pair of pale pink Air Max 97's.

"Okay, then buy them." I shrugged.

"...No, you buy them. Think of it as a gift."

"You are spoiled. Fine, I'll buy them."

"Thank you Benny." She exclaimed and hugged me, causing a scene in the store.

Nikki and I shopped for a little longer, we really only walked and caught up on her school, then I told her how Philly was. I definitely miss it there. We went to the food court and she took me to her favorite spot, a cinnamon roll bakery. We waited in line for a few minutes then some girl caught my eye, she was waiting in front of us, on her phone, and she turned around. It was Steph. She hugged Nikki and I couldn't look away, she was probably the finest girl in the entire mall and I noticed her hair was straight today.

"Hey, Ben." She greeted, flipping her hair with her hand.

"What's up." I replied shyly. Her entire aura just made me nervous for some reason.

"Guys, I'm gonna go to the bathroom. Be right back." Nikki said abrubtly, then ran off elsewhere. It was just me and Steph waiting in line.

"You had this before?" She asked, looking up at me.

"No. Anything you recommend?" I asked. We were next in line.

"Yes, try the cinnamon sticks and icing."

"I've never tasted cinnamon."

"What? You're missing out." She said 'what' with emphasis.

"I guess so."

Steph and I ordered our cinnamon sticks and we sat a table inside the mini bakery. This felt like a date, a blind-date.

"Nikki is taking forever." She sighed, looking on her phone.

"I know. I feel like she set us up."

"I thought the same thing." She replied. I just laughed and smiled; I honestly don't think I can frown when I'm around her. "Hey, take my picture?"

I nodded and she gave me her phone, an iPhone 7+.

She barely posed, and she looked like a goddess. I took a burst because I know girls are indesicive with their pictures, and get mad if you take only one.

"These are cute. Thanks." She flipped her hair again.

"Why do you do that?" I laughed.

"What?" She asked, oblivious.

"Nothing."

She stared at me for some time before getting back on her phone. I'm so... boring. I can't even talk to the girl I like.
