I woke up to the sound of my alarm and it was after 10 already. I remembered I had that 'date' with Ben today, but there was no text message from him yet. I didn't want to get dressed and he planned on going out around 4 or later, so I went ahead and texted him first. Why not?

I crawled out the bed and into my bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. I saw my phone light up while I was brushing my teeth and saw a text.
🇦🇺Ben🏀: Morning, wyd?
To 🇦🇺Ben🏀: Brushing my teeth lol but what time are u coming to get me?
🇦🇺Ben🏀: Now, if you're ready. We can grab breakfast.
To 🇦🇺Ben🏀: Okay, I'll text u my address, and let you know when I'm ready.
I got dressed in a black shoulder crop top and camo jeans. I didn't want to overdo it, we're just going as friends anyway. My makeup took longer than usual, I don't know if it's because I want to impress him or I'm just stalling... probably both. My hair was easy to do, I just let it out the bun and brushed it down a little. As always I took a selfie before leaving out, but this time I posted it on Instagram.

"Yo, BI, what song is that?" I asked. Kyle, Lonzo and I were at Brandon's place, the season just ended, but I was lowkey ready for it to start again.
"Ion know, go check." He replied, playing pool with Zo. I just said forget it, cause I didn't feel like getting up.
"What the fuck." Kyle cursed, staring at his phone.
"What?" I looked over at him, confused.
"It's Vic. She over here talking..." Kyle huffed, sending a text message.
"Damn. She stressin' you out?" I laughed.
"I don't even know what she talking about... I'm just about to block her."
"Then she really finna be mad." Lonzo chimed in.
"That's why I ain't got a girl." Brandon added.
"I thought you and Briana was together?" Kyle asked.
"Nah, we just friends." Brandon shook his head while he lined the pool tip with the cue ball.
"Just friends. Okay." Kyle squinted at him.
"But you be giving her that slendy D." Lonzo joked, and everyone laughed.
"...Y'all stupid." Brandon chuckled.
I was scrolling through IG when I saw Steph posted a picture of her and I double-tapped. As I read the caption, I saw Ben commented "😍❤️".
"I think Simmons tryna talk to my best friend."
"Who?" Kyle asked.
"Stephanie." I answered.
"Stephanie fine ass." Brandon sat on the pool table as he watched Zo aim.
"Aye." I glared at him. He knows I'm protective over her and Taylor.
"Ight man." Brandon laughed.
"And he going to Hawaii." I mumbled.
"Ooh. Drama." Zo instigated. "I wish I was going. Lithuania finna be boring."
"We finna be out there." Kyle stood up and started dancing while walking to the kitchen.
"Nephew know he can't dance." Brandon shook his head.
I should probably lay off Steph and Ben, she's grown, and she knows what to do. I just know Ben's history with females and I don't want her to be one of them, or get hurt. She's never had a boyfriend before so I'm kind of scared for her but I wish her the best first relationship.

*Stephanie's POV*
🇦🇺Ben🏀: I'm outside😁
I laughed at the awkward smiley emoji Ben just sent me, what's wrong with him lol. I grabbed my clutch and left my apartment to see Ben on his phone leaning on his black Ferrari... okay, big baller.
"This is cute." I said to get his attention and smiled at him; He was wearing a denim jacket, black ripped jeans, a black top, and white Nike's.
"You look nice." We both said at the same time, and laughed.
"Great minds think alike." He cheesed, showing his white teeth. I hate how much I had to look up at this goofy fool.
"I guess so." I said smiling, walking to the passenger seat. He jogged to me and opened the door, I snickered at the effort he put in to do that.
"Thank you." I got in the car and he closed the door after, then he walked around to sit in the driver's seat.
"Don't thank me, it's just something every man should do for a female." I heard him respond. I really hit the jackpot, and it was easier than I thought.
