"Leah..." I hear someone sing softly. I open my eyes and in front of me stands Laen. What is he doing here? He reaches out and puts a hand on my cheek.

"Ahh, so soft." He says and smiles his cute little smile. I blush. God, I don't even know him and I'm blushing! He leans down and just as our lips are about to meet, I really wake up.

I sit up on my bed and I'm completely alone. It must have been a dream, right? I mean, it's not like someone would want to do that to me. At least I don't think.

I shake the feeling off and look at my alarm clock. It reads 3:28 AM. Wow! Well, at least yesterday was Friday so I don't have any school today! I shut off my TV and lay down to the soft and comfortable sheets. I wonder what will happen tomorrow. Or, in a few hours.

***Morning***

I wake up to the sun shining brightly in my face. I look at my phone and it says 9:26. How is it that on weekdays I don't want to get up early, but on weekends, my body practically forces me to get up? Whatever! I get out of my super comfy bed and go to my closet. I feel like going to the mall today. No reason, I just want to.

I pick out a black and white strapless sundress and slip it on. I grab a pair of black short shorts and put them on underneath incase my dress becomes see through or a random wind blows it up. I go to my bathroom and put on some black eye liner. There, that's all I need. I grab my wallet and see what cash I have. There's $230 in cash and I have $470 on my bank card. Hmm, working at the local dinner for five months really pays.

I walk downstairs to find my mom. Cooking. What? That's not right. I walk into the kitchen.

"What are you doing?" I ask, drawing out my words. She looks at me and smiles, unfazed by the fact that I'm wearing my 'I'm about to call an ambulance because I know you're gonna need one' face. She turns back to the pan that's full of bacon. It was just right.

"Cooking." I reach across her and shut off the burner she's using. I don't want her to burn it! I make a 'move over' motion with my hands and she stands back as I grab a plate from the cupboard and drain the grease from the bacon into a tin can we use for such occasions. I take the spatula she was using and take the bacon out of the pan to place it on the plate.

"Thanks, honey. I was a bit scared myself that I could've burned the house down. But I didn't. At least, not yet." I smile and shake my head. I pop a piece of warm bacon into my mouth and offer her one. She takes one and I set the plate back down on the counter.

"I'm going shopping today. Wanna come?" I ask her politely. She shakes her head no.

"I think I'm just gonna curl up on the couch and relax today. I'm gonna do a whole lot a nada." I smile and shrug my shoulders.

"Ok, suit yourself!" I say to her. "Oh, and I will probably be home around 4. I'm gonna go to the mall in London. So I will be a while getting there. I'll see you later, love you!" I say to her as I near the front door. I slip on my sandals and grab my moms car keys off of their hook.

"Bye, honey! Bring me something back, will ya?" She hollers. "K, bye!" I yell and walk out the door. I unlock the car and open the door. I sit down and savour a moment to feel the cool leather seats against my skin. I snap out of it and close the door. I shove the keys into the ignition and turn them to the right until it stops turning and I smile as my baby purs to life. The only reason that I don't drive her to school is because my mom sometimes works or goes out. So, on the weekend when she doesn't work, she's all mine.

I pull out of the driveway and drive down the long road to the mall!! By the time I get there, it will most likely be 11:30.

***At the mall***
