(Y/N) woke up on the ground. Huh, she thought. I must have passed out from world hopping again.
She tried to move, but found that her hands and ankles had been tied together, rather than being hogtied like she was earlier. Strings were wrapped around her mouth like a bandana, securing her jaw and preventing her from being able to talk. (Y/N) mentally groaned, struggling to break free.
"Oh, you're awake," said a familiar, glitchy voice. She looked up, seeing Error hanging above her in a hammock made of his own blue strings. He deconstructed it, falling to the ground and landing on his feet like a cat. I wonder if Error has nine lives, too.
"You look adorable when you sleep. It's soothing, like watching a baby take it's afternoon nap," he said. She cringed. Had he actually been watching her sleep this entire time? Error walked over to her, crouching down and grabbing her face so that she would look at him.
"What's wrong? You look scared, sweetheart," he said. (Y/N) eyes widened. Scared? She was absolutely horrified. She had just been kidnapped by someone who is supposedly the destroyer of entire universes. Error reached behind her head, untying her gag, allowing her to speak. And, she didn't hesitate to do so.
"What are you going to do with me?" she asked. Error smiled. He seemed to be lapping up her fear like a thirsty dog. Disgusting.
"You have such a lovely voice, dear. I'm not exactly sure. I never planned on actually doing anything with you. I wouldn't want to hurt you, I might ruin that gorgeous face of yours."
(Y/N) cringed. She didn't like how flirtatious he was being. It made her feel vulnerable. She decided to fight back a bit.
"You're not going to get away with this," she said. Error smirked.
"Oh really? What, are your little friends going to save you?"
"Of course."
"Right. They'll come riding into the Anti-Void on horseback, kill me in a fight to death, and then one of them will confess their undying love for you and sweep you off of your feet."
"I...I never said that."
"Whatever. Tell me, princess. Do you like one of them?"
She blushed. "What - no!"
He chuckled. "Good."
"What do you mean 'good'?"
"I just needed to make sure there wasn't anyone else trying to take you away from me." Error smiled widely. She could feel herself trying to scoot backward, and he took notice. Error frowned, scooting closer to her.
"Why me?" she asked. Error choked.
"'Why you'? Because you're beautiful. You make my nonexistent heart skip a beat every time I hear your voice. And, I know there are other people who will want to take you for themselves. Trust me, sweetheart. You would rather be kidnapped by me than some other people I've noticed like you."
"There are others?"
"At least two others that I know of. One is a murderer. The other...actually, let's not talk about him."
Beads of sweat formed on (Y/N)'s head. "Why shouldn't we?"
"...I don't want to give you any nightmares."
Error looked up, noticing the look on (Y/N)'s face. "Don't worry. I won't let them hurt you."
She shook her head and looked at the ground. Error remembered that she had her hands and ankles tied together.
"Hey, do you want me to untie you? You look kinda uncomfortable."
(Y/N) looked up and nodded. Error grinned and magically got rid of the strings.
"Is that better?"
"Yes, thank you."
Error stood up and turned around, starting to walk away. "Error?"
He looked back at her. "Yeah?"
"What would have happened if you didn't kidnap me? Would someone worse try to? Or would I just resume my life with my friends?"
He rubbed his head. "I can guarantee someone would have at least tried to, and I know for a fact that the guy I was just talking about was planning on trying to get to you right after I did. Like I said, I took you partially for your safety. I didn't want to tell Ink because he would've thought I was lying."
"Oh...," said (Y/N). Error started to walk away again.
"Thank you," she said.
"Anytime, princess. So, tell me. Do you wanna do something? I can show you a couple of AUs while we're together."
"Really?"
"Sure. I can opene portals to every AU in the multiverse."
"Well, there's one I've heard Ink talking about that I've wanted to see."
"Which one?"
"He said it was called Mafiatale. I've always been fascinated by the 20s and 30s," she said. Error smiled. He turned around and opened up a portal. He gestured toward it.
"Ladies first," he said. (Y/N)'s eyes lit up. She ran toward the portal, stepping through it. Error followed behind, closing the portal. They found themselves in an alleyway. Aluminum trash cans lined the walls. Feral cats roamed
"Remember, the 20s wasn't exactly the safest era, so stay by my side and you won't get shot," he said, holding out his hand for her to take. She put her hand in his, following behind him as he walked out of the alley.
The underground was built up like 1920s Chicago, with tall buildings and manholes everywhere. The skies had been polluted by gray smoke, which was coming from the factories. As they stepped out, Error pushed her back into the alley.
"He's out there," he said.
"Who?" she asked.
"The guy. We have to leave."
"Can I at least see what he looks like?"
Error hesitated. "Alright, here's the plan. I'll point him out to you, and you can look at him for a good five seconds before I pull you into the Anti-Void. Deal?"
"Deal."
They looked out into the streets. Error pointed to a monster before turning back to open a portal to the Anti-Void. (Y/N) stared at him. He was a skeleton, just like Error and her other friends. He was coated in a strange, black goo. He had a blinding, white smile and a bright, flashing blue eyes. Tentacles protruded from his back, flailing about in multiple different directions.
(Y/N) squinted, realizing she recognized him. She knew exactly who he was.
"Times up, time to go," said Error. (Y/N) ran into the portal, Error following her.
"Error," said (Y/N). "That was Dream's evil twin."
