Hello, my small mushrooms.

So, I've been reading a new book for a new review (obviously). It's called A God's Poison by ApolloPhanaeus, and I have some very strong opinions about it.

First things first, for those of you who don't know the book, this is the description-

"The first book of the Verboten Series. Fifteen-year-old Jan Dragon gets entangled in a world he knows nothing of, but is an essential part of.

After the Vatican uncover the location to the one thing gods fear the most, they form an alliance with a faction of mages, noetics and monsters to fight for their independence from the gods. But the gods and their faithful mortals don't intend to sit around and let that happen. The Verbotens are dragged into the war on the side of neutral resistance that tries to avert what may lead to the end of naturals and supernaturals alike."

My favourite part is that the genre is fantasy, and is about the paranormal, which is such an amazing and open genre to be a part of. However, if you don't find mystical creatures interesting, what's wrong with you- I mean... this book isn't for you. After reading this I must conclude that this is an amazingly interesting book.

Although, I do have to say it needs work, e.g add more details about the characters movements, maybe add more details about the rooms etc. I can see that is going to be such a popular book in the fantasy genre, but I believe that once the author goes back and adds more detail and descriptions it will be amazing.

So, if you like fantasy novels, adventures and mysteries, this book is for you.

I personally really liked reading this book, because I could tell something big was going to happen, and I can't wait for the author to update!!
