As he stood in front of me, I could feel his eyes boring into me. There was no way I was going to let this guy intimidate me. "You shouldn't be here." he said firmly, snapping me out of my little daze.
"Who the hell do you think you are? My dad?" I snapped back. He looked angry, but as I turned to walk away, he grabbed hold of my wrist.
I tried so hard to pull it away, but damn.. Was he strong.
"I'd think twice before speaking to me like that again, babe." he snapped, pulling me closer to him.
They say "think before you speak", but I tend to speak before I think. And that is exactly what lands me in trouble, because I speak the truth. I have no filter, as some people would say.
"If you were going to hurt me, you'd have done it by now." I whispered, breaking the tense silence between us.
He still hadn't let go of my wrist, but his grip had loosened a bit. He was wearing a pair of mirrored shades, so I couldn't see the expression in his eyes, but honestly his face said it all. He seemed cocky and arrogant, yet alluring and mysterious at the same time. I found it attractive, but also scary because I had no idea what this guy was capable of."Get out of here." he said, letting me go and walking back over to his friends. I inhaled deeply and slowly, trying to stop my heart from racing like it was running a marathon. He looked at me one last time before I turned and walked away.
Curious.
I somehow managed to get into my house without my parents noticing me, so I just went straight up to my room, changed into my PJ's and climbed into my nice big comfy bed. I moulded into it, and before I knew it, I was asleep.
~~~
I woke up the next morning contemplating what had happened last night. I had no idea who that guy was, or who he thought he was.. But no-one speaks to me like that.
I heard my mom stomping around and yelling in the hall outside my room. I think it was safe to say my dad had upset her again. This happened a lot between them. Because he works late, she assumes he's up to no good, but he's a busy man.At least that's what he tells us.
***
I worked behind the bar at a club called Flouresense, and my dad absolutely hated me working there. As for me, I loved it.
They told me I needed to make money for myself, so I got a job at the best club in town. We may be rich, but I still need to earn a living for myself.
I knew tonight was going to be busy, so I tried to get as much sleep as I could. The hours of the day slowly ticked by.
I looked at my phone and realized I had an hour to get ready. I went and had a shower, did my hair and makeup and then got dressed.
We were allowed to wear anything we wanted, as long as it was black. So for tonight, it was a pair of black leggings, a simple black tank top and a pair of flat shoes. I grabbed my jacket and my bag and went to say bye to my parents.
I didn't hang around too long, I was running late, and the last thing I need is my boss yelling at me because of my punctuality.
