"Tell me what the hell is going on.. Right now!" I demanded.

He just stood and looked at me like I was crazy.. Okay, maybe I am a little bit, but that is one thing that I hate with a vengence..

Being lied to.
Being kept in the dark.

"It doesn't concern you."

"Do you know who my father is?" I said, raising a brow.

"Do you know who your father is?"
What kind of question is that? Of course I know who my father is..

Don't I?

"Or course I do. I am his daughter." I whispered. He laughed at my response.

"What the hell is so funny?" I asked, frustrated and angry.

"You."

"Me? What are you talking about?"

"Did you know your father is head of the New York Mafia?"

My jaw dropped. My father had always been extremely protective of me, but I never knew the real reason why...

But I guess that's the reason.

"Why should I believe anything you say, huh?"

"What? Is daddy's little girl too blinded by his lies?"

Anger. I could feel it building up in the pit of my stomach.

"You have no idea what you're talking about." I said, turning my back to him.

He came up behind me, placing a hand on my shoulder, sending chills down my spine.

"Look, I know you don't believe me, bu--"

"You're right, I don't." I said, shrugging his hand away. "My Dad wouldn't keep something like that from me."

I trusted my Dad, but sometimes I do feel like he keeps me in the dark.. But I don't believe he would keep something this big from me.

He wouldn't.
He couldn't

He constantly worries about my safety, but yet he doesn't tell me what or who he's keeping me safe from. It could be someone I'm around everyday, but I'd have no clue because he wouldn't tell me.

"Look at me, Mia."

"No."

"Please.."

"No!"

"Are you always this stubborn?"

"Are you always so up yourself?" I snapped.

"Okay.. I'm going to ignore that remark."

"Do whatever you want. I'm going to my room." I tried to push past him, but he grabbed my wrist.

"You're not going anywhere, Mia."

"Take your hand off of me, right now!"

"I can't do that."
