The untold story of Lily's life

It was a during a cold, long winter. It almost felt endless, as if world had frozen and I would never see the sun again.

"Lily!" My father called. "Please come help me carry the wood."

"I'm busy." I flipped a page of my book.

"With what?!" I could sense his anger building. "Do you want me to freeze out here?"

"No, sorry dad." I put on my coat and wooly boots.

"Hurry up!"

I opened the door and the cold winters air hit me, I shivered.

"Thank you." He said as I approached him. "Now, please take some wood."

I grunted.

I took the wood as I was asked.

"Ow."

I dropped the wood beacause my finger got a nasty splinter.

"Did you get a spwenter." Augustus asked

"Oh sssh."

"I was just asking." He raised his hands up in defeat.

"Well." I turned around to face him. "I'm Okay."

"Good."

He's my best friend. We've known each other since we were young lil' chaps.

"Augustus!" My father shouted. "Please come help me cut some more wood."

"Sure, Sir."

He left my side and went to my father.

I picked up the wood and walked towards the house.

I put the wood down next to the fire.

I sat down at the table and continued to read my book 'The magical creatures of Elba'

"Even though my father told me to never go into the woods because they are full of secrets and mystery but also deadly creatures. Such as Dragons, We haven't seen dragons for a millenium but they sure do exsit. Fairies, they're are good ones, but they're are also bad. Elves they steal our clothes and sweets. Goblins they're green and gross, If you see one, hide you're children, They love a nice snack for the road.

There were such things called 'Shadows'. Nobody has lived to tell the tale but some have returned and seen it. They of course did not approach it.

I have heard also heard of this rare creature called the Centurion. These creatures are shapeshifters, It's original form is normally a white fox and can only be seen by their kind. They used to live in peace before their Queen 'Adalind', was assainated by King 'Roberts' guards and nobody knows why he did it. "

I yawned and fell asleep.
