My name is Skyler I'm an orphan at the anbu. I've been here for six months. Five couples came here no one adopted me even though I'm the only one left. I think because no one wants a seven-year-old.
I had the place to myself, but I didn't have much to do, so I decided to stare into space and try to figure out why nobody loves me.
I walked out I saw this stone blue haired boy. “You live here?” he asked. “Who wants to know?” I replied.
“My name is Shin mom and dad want a baby I want to change their minds” he said enthusiastic. “Hate to break it to you but I don't think you can change their minds” I said. “Okay you little brat I'm going to the library wanna come with” he said. I didn't mean to make him angry I always end up making people angry.
“Sure I was going there anyways. My book is almost overdue” I said. He grabbed my hand. “You're holding my hand” I said. “I know we need to cross the street” he said.

Skyler POV
After we library Shin took an Ice cream and cake Shop he loved. Today is his birthday, but he wants to have his party on a weekend, He's ten, and I learned a lot he wants a sister, He loves musical old ones like Annie from new ones like wicked (This doesn't take place in the present). "Tell me about yourself?" Shin asked.
I look up in shock after drinking melted part of my ice cream. "What?" I asked. "Tell me about yourself" Shin repeated.
“I like to draw, read, play with animals, do outside things, I practice Martial arts like Capoeira, hapkido, boxing, taekwondo, and Jeet kune do, I want to learn how to fence, I really want to live in Japan maybe I'll meet my grandparents” I said. “Anything else?” Shin asked. “I also don't mind doing chores and I'm quite” I said. I usually say that when I get interviewed by couples or whatever.
“You got a name?” Shin asked. “Skyler” I answered. “Mind if I call you Sai?” he asked.
I took out my sketchpad. “What are you doing?” He said. “Drawing you” I answered. “My mom wants me to come home I gotta motor” he said. “Okay” I replied. “Hey look it's raining you want to go to my house it's not that far?” he asked. “No thanks” I said. “Are you sure I have an umbrella” Shin said “I'm fi- *thunder* okay let's go” I wrapped my hands around his waist.
Rain I can handle thunder I is a different story I might have crushed his ribs with my face. When I hear a storm I get this feeling it feels like I'm get pelted by rock not the colorful kind like in lakes the gray ones that cut your hand. “I can't walk like this” I said. “I-I'm n-not letting go” I said. The storm was really scary. “I'll tell ya what how about I give you a piggy back ride” he offered. I nodded yes I couldn't talk.

This kid must be scared because he is chocking the life out of me.”hey kiddo are you okay” I asked. I felt him nod. “Mom dad I'm home” I called out. “Hey sweetie whoa who is that?” My mom asked. This is my friend our house was closer than the orphanage. “Take him to your room he must be exhausted” my mom said. Every time I moved the slightest he would say don't leave and I promise I wouldn't.
