Catherine was in her room, leaning on the ledge of her window, watching the cars passing by. From there, she could see a few teenagers playing football in a little soccer field, not very far from home, but still far enough to not be able to hear their voices. She could only see 8 shadows running after a mistreated and old ball.

Catherine saw a school bus down the street, which soon stopped in front of her house. When the door opened, she saw a young girl with a long, brown and wavy hair coming from inside. She kept her eyes on her, gaily waiting to see the sunshine in her blue eyes. Therefore, she waved with a big smile on her face.

" Hey! Sis!! Hi! " she yelled in a purposely goofy tone.

The girl waited for her in front of the door as she went down the stairs, running, to finally open it. She received her with a big and lasting hug, just like she always did whenever she saw her.

" Took you long enough. " she said.

" Today is Thursday... I always come home at 5 pm on Thursdays . " her sister said.

" You know? When I was coming home, I saw a friend of yours. He thought I was you and called me 'Ellen' " Catherine said, excited.

" Of course he did, silly. We're twins. " Ellen replied, laughing. " What did he wanted? "

" He was just passing by. If he had come closer, he would have noticed it wasn't you, since people can only tell the difference by our eyes color. " Catherine said.

" Probably. Anyway... what were you doing up there? " Ellen curiously asked.

" I was waiting for mom. She went to the store to buy something to cook for dinner. And then you arrived. " she replied.

Catherine closed the front door and her sister went up the stairs.

" Is dad home? " Ellen asked as they got in their room.

" No. Why? " her sister said.

" Okay. Okay. " Ellen covered her mouth with her finger tips, uncomfortably drumming her lips. " I have a secret. But you can't EVER tell to anyone. NEVER. " she whispered, unhesitatingly grabbing her sister's shoulders. " Stop laughing Catherine, this is serious! " She shook her, making her laugh anyway.

" I got it, stop! I won't say a word! " she replied, still laughing.

" Promise me! " Ellen exclaimed as she stopped, to hear her properly.

" I promise. " her sister said.

Ellen started walking around her room. " Uh... I don't know how to tell you. " She kept walking around for a few more seconds, and Catherine sat on her bed.

" Take your time, sis. I'll wait. " she said with a pesky smile on her face.

" But you won't tell anyone, right? " her sister asked one more time.

" Spit it out. " Catherine replied.

" Okay, here goes... " she sighed. " I don't even know how... doesn't matter. It was a boy. No, no. First, we were playing football. Jenny was there, and Susie, and Samantha... and some other friends. Sam kicked the ball out of the school, and I went outside to get it back. "

" Outside the school? You were playing football? " Catherine asked.

" Yes, Pay attention. " Ellen replied. " And, when I got there, there was a boy. He was walking his dog. It was big and yellow, with a lot of hair, mainly on the ear tips. I think it was a Retriever. "

" It was a Retriever. " Catherine said.

" Yes, it was. I stood there, watching him, as he struggled to get the ball out of his dog's mouth. " she laughed. " He noticed I was waiting to get it back, since I was on my outfit. His dog stood on two legs and tried to lick my face. I got scared. Then, he panicked, and gave me the ball, apologizing, and walked away. I stood there, watching him go... and he was so cute... idiot, idiot, idiot! " Ellen said as she covered her face, embarrassed .

" Do you think you'll see him again? " Catherine asked.

" I don't know... "

They heard the door bell and Catherine stood up.

" Don't tell anybody, okay? " Ellen whispered as she grabbed her sister's arm, not letting her open the door.

" I promise. "
