~Oh yay... Training from the beginner...~

I headed over to Route 101 with my new Treecko, Max, by my side so I can go find Brendan, son of Professor Birch who sent me to go find Brendan because he thinks that Brendan will teach me what it means to be a good trainer.

As we walked through Route 101, I noticed that there were a few people walking among the tall grass. They must be trainers or something. Why else would they be here? But it was strange. No Pokemon were coming out to attack them, they didn't even look like they were trying to find Pokemon. They were just standing still or walking in circles. I decided it was probably best to stay away from them.

Max and I made our way through the tall grass to the nearest town, which I remembered that it was called Oldale town. It was a slight change from Littleroot town. It had a Pokeman Center and Pokemon Mart, plus the houses were smaller, but that was all that was different about it. "Excuse me! Miss!" a man called to me. He looked fairly old, wearing all blue, and a white apron. I was guessing that he was a store clerk of the Pokemon Mart. I walked over to the man. I knew I could trust him. Everyone was so nice back in Johto, where my family and I used to live. You could always trust the people there, except for this HUGE team of Pokemon stealers known as Team Rocket. I've never encountered them, (or their competitors,) and I hope I don't. I would never want anyone to take away Max, or any other Pokemon I could get in my life! I hope there's no one in the Hoenn region that's like that...

The man told me he was the owner of the Pokemon Mart, (or Pokemart for short,) and asked me to follow him. I did, keeping Max close by my side in case anything happens. The man just showed me the blue roofed building, and explained that it was the Pokemart, and what it was used for. I'm guessing it was because he saw my Treeko that he thought I was just a starting trainer, which I admit, I am, but my dad already told me all about the Pokemon Centers and Pokemon Marts, even about different items and berries, but I didn't want to be rude.

After the man told me about a few basic items like potions and Pokeballs, he gave me a potion, and after thanking the man, I went on my way. He was a very nice man, as I hoped.

I walked east from the Pokemart, wanting to go see what I could find at Route 102 before making my way up north to Route 103, but a man blocked me from entering past the thick wall of trees to the small plain. "Aaaaah! Wait!" the man shouted, "Please don't come in here! I just discovered the foot prints of a rare Pokemon! Wait until I finish sketching them, okay?" The man pushed me away from the area, fixed his glasses, and went back to his precious Pokemon foot prints. I looked back at him, about to shout something back, but then I saw Max, observing the foot prints closely. "Hey!" the man shouted, now trying to push my Treecko away, "Shoo! Shoo! Go away!" Max got angry, and pushed the man back, then he covered the foot prints with the dirt and dust surrounding him. "Nooooo!" the man screeched, getting on his knees in front of the now empty space and dropping his sketch book in the most overly dramatic way possible. Max dusted off his hands and walked back to me with a smug look on his face, giving out a cry, almost seeming like he was mocking the man's mourning. "You need to put that Pokemon in it's ball!" the man yelled at me, "Or on a leash!" I smirked. "And why should I?" I asked, "He's just being a good Pokemon." "A good Pokemon?!" the man continued yelling, "He covered up my rare Pokemon prints! They're ruined!" "But he was being nice to me!" I snapped back, "Unlike you! You were being rude and kept pushing us around!" "You almost stepped on the foot prints!" "Who cares about your precious 'rare Pokemon foot prints?!'" This argument continued until another man got in between us and stopped the argument. I just left with Max. But on the way to Route 103, I gave him a silent thank you, and high five for being so awesome.
