fear is a dark night alone
wanting, hoping for death yet being terrified of what it may bring,
your fear the only thing you live for anymore,
you hope it will go away but you're terrified of that day,
you first learned of your fear when you were a mere ten years old,
the first time you tried to end your life,
your mother died the year before and you hoped to join her, luckily you failed,
it ending with you curled up in the floor in tears,
counting the seconds as they slowly ticked by,
you would have given anything to see her just one more time,
fear is paralyzing,
like running from someone you know is faster than you,
getting closer and closer,
it will always catch up to you,
but fear is just a dark night alone
