I Wonder How it Feels

I wonder how it feels.
Growing up in a beautiful place,

Away from the bustling roads,
And busy people.

I wonder how it feels.
To watch something being built -
Until it's nothing but ruins
And dilapidated remains.

I wonder how it feels.

To run and play, and smile and laugh.

To worry about nothing.

To be a child forever.

I wonder how it feels.
Witnessing a clear sky and twinkling stars,
Unhindered by smoke,
Or by city lights

I wonder how it feels.
To live a life that never changed
Every joy, every sorrow,

Every moment just remains forever.

I wonder how it feels.
To wonder never again,
To know the answer

Regardless of the query

Maybe I'll not know what to do,
To just sit and do nothing.

I wonder how it feels

To not wonder at all.

I will always wonder though.

Wonder how far I could've gone,

Wonder when I would be freed,

So I'll always wonder,

Wonder how it feels.
