"Alaa are you sure?" I asked solemnly with a hint of worry in my tone. She grabbed my ponytail and pulled the elastic band out. She began fixing my collar and dusting my clothes off from the 'dirt', even though it was a brand new top from my older sister.

"You're mom thinks it's just me and you okay? She's gonna be back soon after a few hours, I'll stay in the corner of library and do weird things okay?" She says reassuringly.

"Okay but what if she sees me with him?" I whine

"Then tell her the damn truth, that you were getting tutoring by the Arabic substitute, that statement contains 0% lies okay?.... just please stop worrying" she says swiftly.

I nod and leave the bathroom, confident I looked good. Alaa surprisingly didn't look too shabby either. I smiled at her and she scurries off to the top floor to search for books that suit her tastes. I sat down on the bench by the coffee joint by the main entrance of the library. I debated in my head whether or not to grab a quick fix of caffeine. Ugh where is this idiot, did he lie about tutoring?

Then I get an text message from him saying :
Where are you?

My finger twitches... I quietly think of a well constructed response that did not give much off.

I typed back:

Come and find me ;)

I then felt a tap and a warm breath over my head.

"Found you" a familiar whisper says in my ear and I turn around to see Sammy with a wide grin spread across his face.

I yelped... but not because of him looking so damn attractive in his white plain tee, and a pair of Adidas track pants with those socks paired with Nike slip ons.

Damn, please ask for my dads number

"Wanna go upstairs, there's a whole study area and private rooms for studying as well" he says confidently.

"Oh okay..." I say weakly pulling out my phone to tell Alaa to keep a look out for my mom and act like she doesn't know me.

Alas texts me:
Alrighty kid, use protection ;)

I blushed... HARD
She just-

"Alright where's your stuff?" He says touching the back of his head avoiding the perfectly gelled front that was always parted whenever I'd seen him around the school.

I pull out my Arabic workbook and explained the assignment.

"I want you to first tell me if you know your alphabets- in Arabic not English" he chuckles.

" I know it" I say defiantly

He sighs and leans in whispering- "Prove it..."

I gather all the courage I was able to muster. And breathed in while he was still looking at me, he didn't even blink... oh wait yes he did, but only because he couldn't help it.

" okay... Alif, baa, taa... umm khaa? Oh wait no it's thaa, then uhhhhh- stop looking at me " I said with embarrassment.

He laughed
