Why him?

I was sitting at my desk and Ryan turned around and looks at me and says "Hey Lily can I burrow your pencil" and I hand him my pencil and he says thanks and then hands it back to me and smiles I look at his brown eyes and smile and do my work then he says "Hey Lily what's number 4" and I tell him "It's iron Ryan" and he says thanks and I look back at my paper and when the bell rings him and I walk out the door of Science class and he starts talking to me but then Alexis comes up and he stops talking to me and leaves then i'm left alone I go to my next class and Ryan walks in and goes "Where'd you go?" and I say "I had to get to class.." I sit down and stop talking to him and open my computer and answer the questions the teacher put on there and Ryan looks confused then he starts doing his work and he emails me and I look at it and look at him and tell him "Ryan just leave me alone" then I get up and leave the room with my stuff and sit in the hallway then he walks out there and I look at him "What Ryan?" and he says "Lily what is wrong?" and I say "nothing I think that we just need some space we're always talking to each other..other people are more important than me" and he looks at me "Oh this is about Lexi isn't it?" and I tell him "No..no..no this has nothing to do with Lexi it's everyone else they say that you shouldn't even be hanging out with me because you're popular and i'm not.." and he says "Who gives a damn what they think Lily? cause I sure the hell don't I love being friends with you" This was the day I realized that I loved him more than I thought I did..I got jealous of Lexi when he left to be with her instead.. after he said that I walked away and texted my mom

I get my things ready to leave and when I walk past Ryan with my book bag I look at him and he shakes his head and I leave
