Book two in my 'My mate.' Series. A chapter from the book is followed down below.
"My baby!"
"Will she be ok?"
"Please tell me she'll be alright? She's my daughter!" The world was a blur to me. I heard sounds and voice. In and out of sleep as the seconds turned into minutes and the minutes turned into hours and the hours turned into days.
I don't know how long I was asleep, but when I woke up I was in a hospital room. My mother was asleep on the chair next to me. I tried to sit up but the pain in my stomach was over whelming and I cried out in pain as I fell back down onto the bed.
My mother popes up from the chair fully awake, "Oh honey, don't try to sit up."
I just look at her, as she calls the nurse. The nurse walks in followed by a doctor.
"Hello, Mrs. Adams, do you know where you are?" I nod my head 'Yes'. "Do you know what happened?" I kinda just stair at him. Bits and pieces come flying back to me bit by bit. He looks at the nurse and tells her to get me a glass of water. She dose as told and I gladly take the glass drowning the liquid down.
"Thank you," My voice comes out raspy.
"Your welcome, Now can you tell me what you last remember?" I nod.
"I was in the wood, hidden in the woods by Xzavier. He went to go get help. I heard a noise and thought it was his coming back to get me. It wasn't. I was held by my throat by a guy, throw at a tree by a different guy then--" I stopped, and looked down at my wrist. They are bandaged with a faint red color staining the white.
"Continue," The doctor told me.
"Then, he craved X's into my wrist, telling me to deliver my alpha a message, lastly he plunged a knife in my stomach and the world went dark," The doctor nods.
"Get Alpha Xzavier in here," He says to the nurse. She walks out the room. The doctor continues to examin me. He takes the bandages off my wrist. "Fully healed, the scar will go away in a few weeks, Be glad that you are a werewolf and not a human. The scar, then, would take months to fade away." He said continuing the exam. He finally reached my stomach and unwrapped the bandages. It, is pink and swollen with stitches holding the wound together.
"This however is going to take a few more days to heal," He wrapped it back with different bandages.
"How long have I been asleep," I asked.
"One day. Today is June the 19," He said giving me the full date. I then read his name tag. Mr. Dully. Xzavier took this time to walk into the hospital room.
"She has a message for me from the rouge?" He asked and looked at the doctor. Doctor Dully nods. Xavier then looks at me.
"He said, 'You killed my son, and now i will kill the one you love the most'," I finished. He cursed.
"I want her to be moved into the pack house, someone get me my Beta, I will here until you move her,"
The pack house is a place where all the people who don't have a house in the pack live. New pack members also live there and some teens who are 18 and decided to move out of their parents house. Sometimes the Alpha and Beta live there to, but not all the time.
Within minutes Alex was in the hospital room, even before they could get me packed up. "I heard the news, what are we going to do?" Alex asked Xzavier.
"Move all the children into the pack house, anybody who's home was burnt or damaged in the attack can also reside in the pack house, I also want any injured guard or officers moved to the pack house. Get more doctors and nurses to take care of them all," Alex nods without objection.
"Is that all?" Alex asked. Xzavier looked over at me.
"I want guards stationed outside Holly's door as well as Kimberly's door. I want the pack house to be safe so double up the guards. No one goes outside our pack boarders with out me knowing, no one enters with out me knowing got it?" Alex nods.
"What shall we do about the humans they visit out small town cause we have a beach," Xzavier sighs.
"Watch all the humans careful if any enter town let me know, if any leave let me know," Alex once again nods and leaves. Xzavier stays behind.
"Alpha, we have all the stuff packed to move her, would you like us to move her in the bed or have someone carry her?" Doctor Dully asked.
"I don't want this bed taking up any room in the pack house, Xzavier, honey will you carry her?" My mother stepped in.
Xzavier nods, "Of course," After I'm unhooked from all the cords and wires Xzavier picks me up bridal style.
"We need to get her to the pack house as soon as possible and hook her back up," The doctor said. Xzavier nods and dashes off with everyone following behind us. It takes about two minutes to get to the center of town where the pack house is. And, it's even bigger the Xzaviers home.
The doctors get me settled in one of the master bedrooms on the top floor. Cords and wired are put back into place and I'm put back on the IV. How long I have to stay like this is still unknown.
