Domin stood in the detention center on the Dawnbreaker, staring through a panel of one-way glass into a holding cell. He was standing next to Etain, and he looked at her in an effort to understand what was happening. She just looked back at him with a raised brow and shrugged.
"Sooo...do you want to tell me why a child and a grown Sangheili are now sitting and pouting in my ship, Freya?" He turned to look at the slim woman, who had her right sleeve rolled up and a large bandage covering her forearm. Her arms were crossed over her stomach, and she was glaring at the boy in the cell.
"When I was in the city, I was told by one of my agents that a group of marines were looking for a man named Victor Huff and his companion. I went to investigate, found these two, had a," her left eye twitched slightly, "civil disagreement," Etain snorted at that, "and now they're here."
Domin stared at her, waiting for more explanation. When he got none, he turned back to the window. "Well, are you going to question them?"
Freya shifted her weight onto her left heel, sighing to herself. "If I try and talk with one of them, I doubt that I'll get much. We haven't really...gotten along so far."
Etain shook her head, exasperated at Freyas attitude. "Well, is somebody coming to do it for you, because we probably won't get anything from them like this."
Freya turned to look the doctor straight in the eye. With a cool tone, she said, "Actually, doctor, that's why you're here."
Etain's eyebrows raised, and she gave Freya an incredulous look. "What? You're not trying to tell me that you want me to talk to them, are you?"
They held a short staring contest, and Domin watched on with an amused expression.
"You are more caring and kind than I am, and you helped the boy with his head injury. I think they would much rather speak to you."
"I'm not trained for interrogations, though!", Etain sputtered out, throwing her hands up in the air.
Freya smirked at her. "Believe me, I'm well aware of that. But what we need right now isn't an interrogator, what we need is someone for them to feel they can trust. And that, doctor, falls to you." Her emphasis on doctor was obviously meant to aggravate Etain, but instead of becoming further annoyed, the doctor just smiled.
"You know what, Freya. I think you're right. I am better suited for this than you. I'll handle this, so you can leave now." She started to reach for the handle to the cell door. "Oh, and Freya", she added, turning her head, "Try not to get yourself injured by another kid. I can't be wasting medical supplies, now can I?"
Freya glared at her, scowling as she turned and walked away. Etain smiled to herself, adopting a cheery look that was meant to be motherly. Domin knew better.
"Valerie, do you want me to call a guard, just in case things get out of hand? Or separate them first?"
Etain waved off his concerns, stating, "Trust me, I can handle it. I get a good vibe from them."
Domin raised a brow at her. "Didn't the kid shoot Freya?"
Flashing him a smile, she said, "Why do you think I like them?"
With that, she walked into the room, closing the door behind her. Domin watched the two strangers carefully, waiting for any signs of trouble. He considered himself a kind man, but if they tried to do anything...

Victor jumped a bit when the door to his cell opened. He tensed up on the bench he was sitting on, but relaxed a little when he saw who it was that walked in. The kind doctor lady that treated him earlier entered the room, closing the door behind her. Vex sat across from him, on the other side of the room. Victor was still anxious about the whole situation, but he'd much rather talk with her than the devil-woman that had chased him.
