Ami and I spent the whole day together in the arcade, talking and playing video games, getting to know each other better. It wasn't until it was getting later and darker outside that Ami looked at her watch.

"Oh! I really should be getting to night classes!" She exclaimed, and I smiled at her.

"Wow, you must be real smart to be taking day classes and night classes! Oh, but I have to get home as well! I forgot about these groceries!" Ami giggled, and we both gave each other a wave as we left the arcade and walked in different directions. I hummed to myself as I walked home, trying not to dread the reaction Mother was going to have once I reached the household. Unlocking the door quietly and stepping in, I did my best to shut the door as quietly as I opened it, and snuck to the kitchen to put the things away. Luckily for me, my mom was upstairs and Father was watching television, so I wouldn't be in too much trouble. Just as I had put away the last item, I heard someone step into the kitchen. It was Shingo.

"What are you doing back so late? You were supposed to have the groceries here already?" My brother asked, hands on his hips. I flinched, grinning nervously.

"I uh.. Got lost..?" Shingo narrowed his eyes, of course he didn't believe that. I panicked slightly, he was gonna tell mom, and she was going to kick my tail! What can I do to- oh! I rummaged through the fridge, before pulling out a chocolate bunny I had bought. Such is the sacrafice of things you love in order to be spared from the wrath that is Mom.

"Here, take this, don't tell mom!" Shingo stared at me for longer than I would like, before taking the treat and walking off. I sighed in relief, glad that my bribe worked. Luna and I made our way up the stairs to my bedroom, where I collapsed onto my bed in exhaustion. It had been a long day, and I was pretty tired. Luna hopped onto the bed, her tail swishing from side to side.

"That girl was definitely a sailor Guardian." The cat reminded me. I sighed, sitting up.

"Yeah, but how do we let her know that?" Luna smiled, opening her mouth to say something, before stopping. She turned to look out the window, before quickly turning back to me.

"Usagi, there's trouble! We have to go!" I whined, standing reluctantly.

"But, but fighting monsters is so scary!" Luna glared, pouncing over to the window as I followed, opening it.

"So is losing the planet to a bunch of super villains! Now come on! You know what to do!" I sighed, placing both legs through the window, before carefully making my way out and down the side of the house. Once on the ground, I touched my hand to my brooch, my other hand raised in the air.

"Moon Prism Power! Make Up!!"

The bright light enveloped me as I transformed, safe under the cover of night. After the transformation was complete, Luna and I ran off, heading in the direction of the prep school that Ami attended. (A/N: I haven't watched Sailor Moon in years so yes I'm improvising the plot and using what I remember.)

Once there, we could see the dark aura that had surrounded the building. It was as if the structure itself was evil. There was definitely a monster in there. Taking a deep breath and gathering my courage, I ran inside, ready to fight off the dangers. The inside of the building was dark, and only streams of moonlight shone through the windows, providing enough light for Luna and I to see where we were going, and just barely make out the signs that were on doors and halls and such. After a while of quick searching for the correct room, we finally found ourselves on the fourth floor, at the computer lab. I slammed open the door, to see the night school students knocked out at their computers, energy draining from them and going into the evil creature in the front of the class. As soon as the door opened, she turned to look at me, an evil sneer crossing her face. I glared at her, and began to speak.

"How dare you interrupt students who are studying day and night, just so they could get good grades and into a good school? Their hard worked energy is definitely not yours to steal! In the name of the moon, I'll punish you!" The evil youma cried out and charged at me, using her claws to reach out out and try to slash me. I yelped and dodged, leaping away and ducking behind a desk. She continued to come, and I continued to run, truing to awaken students, or at least move them out of harm's way as I went. I got to one desk in the back of the room, and as I started to move the girl, even in the dark I could recognize that oh so familiar (h/c) hair. It was (Y/n)! Why was she in every encounter I've seen so far, jeez!

"Why do you have to be at every turn in my life!" I exclaimed, crying out as I dodged another attack, just barely managing to pull (Y/n) away from the youma's claws. Luna jumped on a desk staring at me.

"Sailor Moon! Use your attack!" I nodded and ran to the front of the room, standing in a defensive position as I glared at the monster. My hands reached up to grab my tiara, and I began to rev up my attack.

"Moon... Tiara.. Action!" I spun around and flung my crown at the monster, who had just jumped towards me. It hit its target, and the youma cried out in pain as she began to crack and break, before exploding into light. Just as she disappeared, I spotted Ami at one of the desks. I ran over to her as she began to wake up.

"Oh... Gosh... What-what happened?" The blue haired teen asked drowsily, and I giggled.

"Don't worry, you're safe now." I looked up to glance over the rest of the awakening students, and my gaze landed on that of (Y/n)'s. We locked eyes for a minute, stuck in a staring contest that never seemed to end. I looked away first, my cheeks getting hot with embarrassment. What is happening to me?

It was the next day, and Ami and I were meeting up at the park after school. Luna decided that it was time to tell her who she was, and who she could be. The two of us made it to a secluded area of the park, and my new friend smiled at me.

"So, what did you call me here for Usagi?" I took a deep breath, before calling for Luna. The cat walked out into the area, and Ami smiled at her.

"Oh, what an interesting cat!" Luna smiled back, looking up at Ami.

"Yes, I am! Thank you for the compliment!" Ami gasped, her eyes widening. She looked from me, to Luna, then back to me.

"Y-your cat, she.."

"Talks? Yes, I do. I'm here to recruit you Ami Mizuno." Luna jumped into the air and did a front flip, and when she landed, there was a new Sailor Pen floating where she just was. After a second, it dropped down, and Ami caught it in her hands.

"You are Sailor Mercury, the smartest Sailor on the team. Welcome aboard." Luna explained, and I smiled at Ami. The two of us, Luna and I, took the time to explain explained what a Sailor Guardian was, and what we did. After a while, the sun once again began to set, and we began to head home. As I walked, I noticed (Y/n) walking across the street ahead of me. She had bags under her eyes, and she looked very tired. I wanted to say something, but she was too far ahead of me, and she probably would say something rude anyways. I sighed and shrugged, turning away from her.

I went home.
