Chapter 11

Emilia's POV

"5...5,6,7,8-1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5 and 6, 7, and 8, 1! Go blue go!" I called out the counts to our competition routine that we will perform at half time Friday night. This team has improved after people got added and people got cut. It's been 3 weeks and we are hitting and sticking our motions, stunts and facials.

"Okay, that's a wrap. Break on 'Go home'. 1,2,3-Go home!" My cheer team shouted at once then left the gym leaving me, Lacey, and Anna Leigh. It was time to vote our captains and co captain. There were 3 judges from UCA staff judging our skills we were bout to pull. Lacey went first. She did the competition routine with her tumbling pass, Roundoff back handspring back handspring tuck. Then she did the cheer with her spirit and did her jumps. Then was Anna Leigh. She did her tumbling pass in the routine, Roundoff back handspring back handspring half. Her cheer was sharp and clean with a smile and spirit. Finally, her jumps were had great technique and she added a back tuck.

It was my turn so I did the routine with facials, popping motions and my tumbling pass. Front walkover, Roundoff back handspring back handspring , half. I smiled, then headed to call the cheer and stick the tumbling and jumps with it. When I did my jumps I added a buttload of spirit with a back tuck as well. UCA talked it over then after 10 minutes announced, "We have decided that our co captain will be Anna Leigh and our captain Emilia because they show the true meaning of leadership, however, Lacey is a great all around cheerleader and we offer her a scholarship for UCA along with Emilia. Well done girls." My heart nearly burst from my chest due to excitement. I ran out of the gym to meet Dalton, with Adelyn and this time it wasn't Adelyn's force.

Dalton's POV

Adelyn got paired up with me for our chemistry lab and I hesitated before saying ,"Okay, let's get started."

She smiled a perfectly straight smile that I, by one second, wanted to have her. She had on her mid thigh dress on with leggings underneath and knee high gold boots to match her dress. Her red curls were straightened then obviously recurled to look wavy instead of messy, and her eyes glowed in the sun as she said, "Okay."

We walked outside, and before I knew it I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her in to kiss her. Her lips fell in sync with mine and she tried to slip her tongue through my bottom and top lip but we got interrupted by, my GIRLFRIEND. I forcefully pulled Adelyn off of me and before I could say anything, my flawless princess left me with tears running down her face.

What did I do, what did I do?

Sorry that the chapter is so short, I wanted it to be more dramatic and end it early since the scene that just happened changed everything.

So, what do y'all think about Anna Leigh replacing Lacey's spot as co captain? What about the scholarships given to Emilia and Lacey? Do you think Anna Leigh should've got it too according to her cheer ability?
