This isn't your typical love story. Not everybody automatically catches the eye of their crush, at least that's how Louis feels.

Flash back to when he was in grade three, where Louis was in the sand box playing with his new plastic dinosaur. As his imagination began to soar to a time where dinosaurs actually did rule the Earth, Louis began to growl and roar as he clomped the toy against the sand. With one final, all-mighty yell, the little Louis dropped his toy and fell onto his back with laughter.

But as Louis reached over to grab the dinosaur, it was no longer by his side. He quickly shot up and surveyed the sand box. There was nobody here with him.

Suddenly there was a loud, "RAWR!" from behind Louis, and all he could do was let out a cry and fall face first into the sand. As Louis tried to compose himself he heard giggling, which only made his anger start to stir.

"Oi, mate! I don't like being sneaked up on! And don't you know not to take things that aren't yours?" Louis yelled at the boy who was holding his dinosaur. His tiny hands snatched the toy from the boy next to him and held it close to his chest.

"Oops, I didn't mean to scare you. I just wanted to play," the green eyed boy explained innocently. Louis' eyes narrowed on him and he made a quick descision.

"Fine, but mummy says I need to know peoples' names before I play with them. So what's your name?" Louis questioned.

"My name is Harry and I really like dinosaurs and the Power Rangers!" Harry said as he pulled out his Power Ranger gun. He flashed a smile to Louis, revealing one missing tooth in the front.

"Hi, I'm Louis and I like the Power Rangers too!" Louis laughed as he admired his new friend's toy.

Louis really liked Harry and ultimately forgot that he scared him.

That small childhood liking never changed. From that day on, the boys were almost inseperable. Before they left the park, they made sure their mummys set up a play date so they could see each other again. That park became their regular adventure, even with age.

But as the boys went to grade seven, something changed for Harry. He started to grow taller than Louis and had made a lot more friends. Louis and Harry's conversations went from hours, to minutes, to nothing at all. Louis was the friend who had to sit back and watch his best friend drift away into the popular scene. It was so hard for Louis to stick around to Harry because Louis is two years older and only knows the people in his grade.

But once Louis lost Harry, his jokes weren't funny to his other mates. Nobody wanted to be around the guy who couldn't make a laugh. The only person Louis had left was Mary Jane. She had the same issue as Louis, being left out by her peers.

Grade nine was the year that everybody knew what drugs were, and given her name, everyone made sure to make Mary Jane feel awful. They'd wag bags of weed in her face and dump their flasks of booze over her head. Louis was never bullied out of his group but Mary Jane had it bad.

Louis even went over her house one day and caught her from taking a bottle of pills. Nobody other than themselves knew about it and they made a pact to never tell. Louis told Mary Jane how important she is to him and how she can get help. So she did. Mary Jane sat down with her parents and explained her unfortunate tale. They allowed her to be home schooled and to get weekly therapy sessions that sometimes Louis would even attend.

Even with MJ by his side, Louis never stopped thinking about him. It's all he could do since he was pretty much a loner at school and saw Harry's smile everyday. Grade nine was tough for Louis because it was that awkward year where he didn't know whether he was straight or bisexual or gay. He tried really hard to like Mary Jane, he even tried to kiss her once! But after that kiss, Mary Jane just had to look at him and they both knew, Louis was gay. It was never an open announcement, but if somebody would ask he'd say the truth.

Being gay only made Louis' feelings for Harry grow even more. Yet Harry probably didn't even remember Louis' name. But Louis was sick of being Harry's childhood memory.

So to get Harry's attention, Mary Jane devised the perfect outlet for Louis...
