The journey back home was going to be hard for Natsuki.

Well, just the actual fact of not having access to the key, she would have to find her way inside without her father knowing she was there.

"Less movement, less chances of getting caught. More movement, more chances of getting caught." Natsuki thought as she approached her house.

With each beckoning step, she moved around to her bedroom, and she noticed her bedroom window was still open from letting air into the warm house.

Natsuki took her school bag, and carefully placed it onto the floor of her room. Then, she steadied herself, and grabbed the ledge of the window.

"There, I've got it!" She whispered as she pulled herself up onto the window.

Without a second thought, she carefully stepped down from the window, causing her footsteps to become light and airy.

Afterwards, Natsuki carefully placed her curtains in front of the open window.

"Natsuki!" A voice said after a pound on her door.

"Yes, father." Natsuki replied as she opened her door.

"You didn't tell me that you were going to get home so fucking late! I could've been worried sick about you." Her Dad looked at Natsuki, and punched her arm.

"I'm sorry, but it will happen again." Natsuki started to feel the tears coming to the surface.

"What the fuck do you mean will happen again? You better tell me what's going on girl. Or you will recieve the consequences going alone with this life." Natsuki's father looked at her with concern.

With every hit to Natsuki's arms, a new bruise had formed.

"I am a member of a club at school." Natsuki managed to get out, her tears now falling drastically.

"Oh so your a club member, eh? I wonder which club you wretched little bitch has gone too. I guess murdering your mom wasn't enough."

Those words pounded into Natsuki's heart. Each word pierced her heart like a knife.

"It's a Literature Club father. I believe you should just leave me alone now." Natsuki said bravely.

"You think that you can tell me to leave, eh? Alright, I'll leave."

And with that Natsuki had won a fierce battle with her father.

As soon as it was all over, Natsuki heard her father get into the car, and leave her house.

Then she heard her phone ring.

"Hello Natsuki, it's Yuri."

"Hey Yuri.

"Thank you for the help earlier today. I really needed it. Also, are you doing okay? Please be honest."

"No, I am not doing okay. My father just came in here to beat me earlier, but now he's gone for awhile."

"I wish you could come over here to spend the night, so that you don't have to deal with the beating."

"I wish I could too, but if he ever found out that I was gone. I wouldn't be alive to come to school in the morning."

"I know, and I wish you the best of luck. I'll see you tomorrow."

And with that, Natsuki laid on her bed, and drifted off to sleep.
