A week later, a reporter, tall and thin with pince-nez glasses carried his notepad around the mansion, now abandoned, and took note on important details. The New York Times continuous headline was 'Blue-blooded Tom Lauren looses house and job to being convicted of murder!' Every single headline of every small town newspaper said the same. Toms murder, as we would say today, had gone viral. Yet the reporter found that Tom and Vi had been seen wandering around Paris. Why? Probably the place they would be the most inconspicuous, yet, how could they not be noticed? Their faces were on every single newspaper, and their crime was starting to spread throughout the world.
