I actually had to do this for an english assessment

It was the same every Saturday. Holly arrived on time at the dancing studio she had been attending since the age of 4. She enjoyed Hip Hop dancing and dreamed of becoming a famous dancer.

One of the Saturday's became different. Holly's dancing teacher handed her a brochure. She was keen to find out what it was all about.

Holly could not believe her eyes. It was about an audition as a dancer for Jason Derulo's huge concert that was happening soon. She felt a rush of excitement through her body.

She was ready for it. Holly needed to achieve her dream as a dancer so she knew she was going to try extra hard for that position.

The next weekend was the huge audition day. Holly arrived at the big dance studio to audition for the position. Holly noticed that there were about 20 other boys and girls auditioning as well.

They all had to line up and wait for their turn to dance. In line she met Rosy, a 12 year old who was talented. She had been dancing for 6 years.

Holly, who was 14 year old and a very talkative girl, made friends with Rosy instantly.

Holly was feeling nervous about performing and showing her style of dance to the judges. She waited patiently for her turn.

It was finally Holly's turn to dance. She walked into the studio and noticed talk mirrors, shiny floorboards and lots of bright lights.

The judges told her to dance and show them what she could do. She danced with lots of passion and happiness even though she felt nervous and scared.

Her performance was amazing and she was proud of herself, however, the judge's decision was to put her as a backup and not as the dancer for the concert. Holy felt upset that she didn't get chosen to be the actual dancer. She sat quietly outside and waited for the other contestants to dance as well.

Holly soon noticed that Rosy was happy and jumping up and down with joy. She realised that Rosy got chosen to be the dancer for Jason Derulo's concert. She ran up to Rosy, gave her a hug and congratulated her on her efforts.

Holly secretly felt jealous and wished it was her, but she was excited for her friend that she had achieved the position. Holly went home feeling miserable and disappointed about the audition. Even though Holly felt this way, her parents supported and encouraged her to be proud of what she had achieved.

She began to think about all the past concerts she had done with her dancing school. Holly had received lots of awards for them. She was looking through her award collection and at the same time remembering the wonderful way she performed. She knew she was a star. Holly then began to have a positive attitude and was feeling good about herself.

Rosy had lots of time to practice for the concert because it was in 3 weeks. During one of the practices a horrible disaster occurred. Rosy had twisted her ankle.

She was in tears and felt angry and devastated with herself. This meant she couldn't continue dancing and another person had to fill in her spot. The judges decided that Holly was to replace her as she was the backup. Holly was told about the news. She was excited and happy to be chosen but at the same time she was sad for her friend.

Holly began ringing her friends, telling them all about it. She asked them to come and watch her in the concert. Holly couldn't stop talking about the concert, she was even dreaming about it. She had only 2 weeks to practise the routine and was filled with energy and enthusiasm. Holly tried her best and gave it her all during practices. This is exactly what she had dreamed of, becoming a famous dancer.

Finally the day for Jason Derulo's concert had arrived. Holly was ready for it and felt she could do anything. The concert was amazing and the fans were even more amazing. Holly felt surprised at the amount of people that were watching her dance and felt that she was a superstar dressed up in a sparkly costume. There was lots of screaming and applauding from the audience. Fans had a chance for photos, autographs and to purchase merchandise from Jason.

It was a very long night for Holly but she had the best night of her life, performing her best. Her dream had come true, dancing and being part of an important team. She felt famous herself. All the hard work had paid off.

The next day Rosy rang up Holly, telling her how amazing she was as she watched the whole performance from the front row. Rosy was happy for her friend as she got to live her dream. Holly and Rosy continued to be great friends and were enjoying dancing. They were working towards creating their own Hip Hop routines for future competitions.
