Sorry for the last posting of this story, I kept forgetting to upload if off of the notes on my phone. I will try to read more comments and try my best in writing as much as I can. Anyways:
Warning!!!!! Sad Ending........ Btw also this is if she had survived the surgery.
After getting news of Kaori's survival Kosei rushed over to the hospital to sit by her hospital bed. 8 hours pass and Kaori finally wakes up and notices that Kosei is sitting right next to the bed asleep and smiles. He suddenly jerked awake said:
"You truly are ok." Tears streamed down his face knowing that the person he cares so much about is safe.
Kaori sweetly smiles and comments:
"I guess there is no reason for the letter anymore."
Kosei awkwardly replies: "So I wasn't supposed to get the letter? Oh..."
She turned as red as a tomato and said :
"Wait... you read it?!?!?!!"
He awkwardly smiles and replies "Kind of... I.. kind of like you..."
Kaori immediately hugged him and then abruptly changed the subject.
"So how'd you do for the music? I wish I could have been there to see it."
"I think it went okay. So... um do you want to... once you leave the hospital... want to go and play together again?"
"Are you asking me out?????"
"I guess...so."
They chatted for a while until Kosei had to leave the hospital for the day. Head and heart full of stars his smile was wide. Kosei then realized that everything around him is fading into black and opens his eyes.
He had woken up out of the dream he wished was real. He looked at the calendar and saw what day it was. It was one year since her death. He hopped on his bike and rode over to the cemetery holding a bouquet of flowers for her. He arrived and tenderly placed the flowers on the grave and said:
"If only that was the reality to wake up to, but I won't forget. I'll keep on loving you though."
A tear trickled down his face as he turned away to leave and the wind around the grave whispered: "I will keep loving you as well."
