Freezing A Broken Heart

Chapter III: Part II

Time to continue on from that cliffhanger. I know I'm a jerk for leaving a cliffhanger like that.  But hey. Suspense building and all that jazz, but I digress. Onto the chapter!

No POV

-At the Guild-

 "Juvia wonders where Gray-sama is.." Juvia was sitting at a table with Cana sitting right beside her.

"I think he and Erza are out on a job." Cana drank her barrel once more.

"Gray-sama went out on a job but didn't take Juvia with him!?" Lisanna looked at her.

"Well from what Gray's been telling me you pretty much stalked him since you joined Fairy Tail. It would make sense he would want some time away from you Juvia."

"But Gray-sama has been staying with Juvia's love rival for the past couple weeks.." Cana stopped drinking from her barrel.

"Juvia my advice to you is to give up on him. He obviously doesn't share your feelings."

"Gray-sama knows he has feelings for Juvia he just doesn't show them that's all..."

"Listen Juvia. I'm trying to help you. Chasing after him all the time will just drive him further away from you." Juvia pretty much stopped talking from hearing Cana say that.

-With Gray and Lucy-

Gray and Lucy had sitten down to rest by what seemed to be a sturdy wall.

"How are you feeling Lucy?"

"I guess I'm feeling fine.."

"Is something wrong?"

"Maybe.. Maybe not.."

"Could you please just tell me Lucy?"

"Fine.. I'm kind of.." Before Lucy could finish her sentence a couple dark mages spotted them and Gray got ready to fight them. One of them fired black electricity which Gray had managed to dodge.

"Ice Make Death Scythe!" He makes a scythe and attacks the dark mages, Lucy got up and pulled out one of her keys.

"Open Gate of the Maiden: Virgo!"

"Is it punishment time Princess?"

"No! Just help Gray!"

"Right away, Princess." Virgo digs a hole underground and makes one of the dark mages fall into the hole while Gray had knocked the other one out cold. Virgo came back up from underground and vanished.

"You ready to get moving?"

"Yeah I am." Gray and Lucy start walking again.

"So what were you about to say before those dark mages attacked?" Lucy looked at the ground, trying to hide a blush that was growing on her cheeks.

"Nothing.." Gray looked at Lucy as they continued walking through the cave system, he thought since Lucy was hiding something from him he'd just ask her later.

"Gray I got something to ask you.. Why did you go after me and not Erza?"

"Well Erza can handle herself just fine, being a S-Class wizard and all."

"Is there something else?"

"Yeah.. I didn't want you to go alone. You're my friend and I care about you." Lucy blushed a little more at hearing Gray say that.

"I could handle myself too, you know."

"I know that."

-With Erza-

Erza was walking alone in the cavern when she found a small group of dark mages. Only three or four of them. One of them instantly attacked her but she knocked him out just as he got near her. The others ran away out of pure fear of Erza.

"I wonder how Gray and Lucy are doing right now.. I'm kind of worried.." She was hoping for the best between them both as she entered a big open room where she spotted Gray and Lucy. She instantly smiled at seeing them and when they saw her, they both ran over to her. When they got over to her, Erza let out a sigh of relief.

"I was worried something bad happened to you both."

"Come on Erza, we're both strong."

"I know that." Lucy saw something and walked over to it with Erza and Gray following.

"Here's the necklace we were sent to get." Lucy picked it up and Gray spotted a ladder and looked up to see stars.

"Hey guys I think I found the exit." Lucy went up first, followed by Erza and finally Gray. They soon reached the top and walked back to the town. When they got back to the town Erza knocked on the door to the woman's house.

"Ma'am we got the necklace back."

"Thank you all so much."

"It's no problem." The woman gave them their pay and they spilt it three ways. They walked to the train station and thankfully there was one last train to Magnolia so they boarded it and were on their way home finally. Lucy was pretty tired at this point and fell asleep on Gray's shoulder again. Erza smiled a litte bit at seeing this. Gray was the next one to fall asleep and his head was above Lucy's and Erza smiled a little bit again.

'Those two are really cute together.' Erza thought to herself.

-Magnolia: 1:25 A.M-

By the time they got home it was almost one thirty in the morning. Erza left for her room in Fairy Hills to go to sleep and Gray carried Lucy to her apartment where he had fallen asleep next to her.

-9:00 A.M-

Gray had woken up before Lucy did and he made breakfast for the both of them when Lucy woke up and she yawned a bit.

"Morning Gray."

"Morning Lucy. I made breakfast." Lucy smiled a little and Gray handed her a plate with food on it.

"Thank you Gray."

"You're welcome Lucy." Gray smiled a little and got a plate for himself. They had started eating the food and once they finish they both go to the guild hall.

-Fairy Tail Guild Hall-

Gray and Lucy walked to the guild hall together and when they walked in Juvia instantly hugged Gray.

"Gray-sama!!" Gray tries to push Juvia off him and he manages to get her off of him after a good four pushes.

"Could you PLEASE stop doing that Juvia?!"

"Juvia thought Gray-sama liked her hugging him..."

"Well I don't." He walks away and finds a place to sit down. Lucy goes and sits next to him.

"I'm getting tired of Juvia always stalking and obsessing over me all the time."

"I would be too if someone was chasing me like that."

"I wish she'd find someone else to obsess over. Besides I don't even like her in the way she likes me." Juvia hears that and starts crying as she sits at the bar with Cana noticing Juvia's crying.

"Something wrong Juvia?"

"Juvia heard Gray-sama say he doesn't like Juvia the same way.."

"I hate to say it Juvia but I told you so. Maybe there will be someone who will care for you." Juvia stops talking and Lisanna puts her hand on Juvia's back.
