Chapter 7: Fight

Cuphead marched towards Cagney with a stunned anger.

Cagney was talking to Hilda about the attack when Cuphead walked up and began yelling.

"What the hell?!" Cuphead yelled to the giant flower.

"What?" Cagney said baffled by the cups confusion.

"What the hell was that?!"

"You need to be a bit clearer, teacup."

"Why the hell did you kill Werner?"!

"Because that's what had to be done." Cagney said turning back to Hilda.

"E-Excuse me?! 'Had to be done'?! You didn't need to kill him!"

Cagney whipped back around with an angry glare in his eye.

"Listen, teacup, this isn't some contract battle or disagreement. This is a war. Do you really think that rat drove his tank all the way here and blasted his way through the Die House just to knock us all out? He came here to kill us because we chased off his boss. If something like that turned your stomach, teacup, then you had better just quit now because this is only the first death of many."

Cuphead could do nothing but stare at Cagney.

"He's right you know." Hilda said from behind Cagney with a sad look on her face.

"What?" Cuphead said shocked.

"Werner wasn't just gonna knock us out and leave. Whether you like it or not Cuphead this is a war. And I hate the thought of killing people I thought were my friends but they clearly have no objections to killing us. I understand if you and Mugman don't wanna fight but the rest of us want to defend our homes and ourselves. You can go join up with the other civilians."

"I'm gonna fight." said a very exhausted Mugman from no where.

"M-Mugs? What are you saying?" Cuphead asked his brother disbelievingly.

"I'm gonna fight. I don't want anyone to get hurt but I also don't want to see some of my closest friends get murdered while I sit back and do nothing."

"Mugs you don't have to. We can just wait with the other civilians!"

"Then you go do that! But I'm not gonna run away like some sippycup! If Matchstick and Blind Specter want to hurt my friends they'll have to get through me first!" Mugman shouted before walking in the other direction.

Cuphead glared at the flower and the android sitting on a cloud. Cagney just sneered and receded into the ground while Hilda frowned and floated off into the sky.

Cuphead just stood there. Unable to think or say anything. But then he got an idea. 

Cuphead was going to the Casino.
