APPOLINE JAMES had always welcomed change, ever since the seeds of scientific theories had been sown into her mind at a young age.

"A Big Bang? Like the sound the dishwasher makes?"

Her mother laughs warmly, petting her daughter's wild hair, "Not quite, Apple."

Appoline has a naturally open mind. She likes to try new things and meet new people, like every extrovert does. The girl liked to think dangerous experiences were the epitome of life -- those unpredictable shifts in plans that risk everything incited adrenaline in her system that she craved.

Apple looks up, her eyes dazed, "Oh, nothing! I just met this amazing dude."

Katrina giggles softly, wiping down the flour on her hands on her apron, "You like him?" Her voice has a suggestive tone that Appoline can't help but sigh at.
