Trigger warning- domestic abuse, topic if blades and cutting.
Casper woke up and rolled around in her bed trying to get comfy. She slowly got up and jumped at the memory of what happened last night. She had been clean for 1 month now, that was a long time and she didn't wanna let go of it yet.
She quickly checked her wrists and thighs then let out a sigh. She must have fallen asleep before she hurt herself. Casper got up, slipped on a pair of joggers and a sweater, then tore her sheets off the bed looking for the blade. She quickly grabbed it and put it back in the perfume box.
Casper quietly walked downstairs and grabbed a yogurt before slipping on her shoes, throwing on a bag, and walking outside. She didn't know where she was going today, but she knew it had to be quiet. Casper walked down the road, into the woods, and followed a small creek to a big oak tree and flopped now by the roots. She closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths before having a nap.Casper leaned forward and took off her nap sack and slowly unzipped it. She carefully pulled out her journal, a pencil, eraser, and a brand new lighter she found in her mom's purse.
The breeze was cool and the sky grew darker before Casper got a chance to write. The clouds made a deep grumbling noise letting Casper know it was about to rain. Alright she would get soaked, Casper didn't care. She opened her bag once again and pulled out a jacket and put it on. She began to write.
Once Casper finished, she packed her bag, slung it back on, and walked back to the creek. She knelt down and cupped the lighter and started to light it. It was hard with the rain and wind but she did it eventually after burning her hand. The kept the flame and brought it down to the paper, lit it on fire, and started on her way back home.
Casper sat on her bed and turned on the fan. She got up and changed into her pyjamas. When Casper sat down in her desk chair and started to put everything away, she heard the door slam shut. It was her father. Casp never liked her father, nor did he like her. They never got along and she didn't think they ever would.
"You're a worthless piece of shit!"
"Stop yelling Spencer! The kids are home!"
"Well then come outside bitch! The kids don't fucking matter!"
Casp felt the anger brew inside her. She slammed her book down, looked out the window, and watched her father start getting physical with her mother. Casper quickly closed the curtain and started to cry. This was not something she liked, not at all. She got up, went to her sister room and told her sister to lock the bedroom door, then walked back to her own room locking the door after her.The door opened and slammed shut once again. She heard her mother go into her room and then she knew what was gonna happen next. Her father was banging on her door.
