I walk into my office early in the morning to do my daily check up on my patients. My institute holds up to 200 patients who have done horrible things due to their mental state. I begin to do the check ups  on my patients. This is probably the most complex and tiring part of my job. There are patients who want to get better and someone who simply enjoy being a danger. I get to my second to last patient. Alexander Keller. Alexander was admitted when he was 17 years old for drug-induced psychosis which caused him to kill his whole family. I begin to study the young boy in front of me. Tall, Thin, Brown haired, brown eyes, strong jawline, looks too innocent to be addicted to almost every type of drug you could think of.

"Hey doc." Alexander says snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Hello Alexander. How is it going today?" I ask him with a gentle smile.

"Same old same old. The craving of meth is decreasing.  Although, a little cigarette won't hurt doc." He says with a grin. I laugh and pull out a pack of cigarettes.

"You know little doses everyday helps you break the habit." I say as I light the cigarette.

"I heard we got a new patient. Tell me about her." He says as I hand him the cigarette.

"Her name is Avani. She is a serial killer.'' I say bluntly as I light is cigarette. He smiles and takes a puff of his cigarette

"Is she pretty? I bet she is. Man I haven't seen or touched a girl in almost three years" He asks me. I look at him with a scowl.

"I'm here to check on you, not talk about other patients Alexander." I say with a stern voice. His eyes grow big and takes another puff of his cigarette.

"Sincere apologies doc." He says as he removes the cigarette from his mouth.

"Well I think we are done here." I say as I get up from my chair and begin to leave the room. I stop a before I leave the room. I walk back toward Alexander and take the cigarette before he can take another puff. I do not understand why, but when he talked about Avani like that, it was like knives to my heart. Not again..

I head over to Avani's room to do her evaluation. As I approach her door I hear her laughing and crying.

"What the..." I say as I open the door to see Avani on the floor, cutting herself with a pin.

"Avani stop that!" I say as I approach her

"Elinquo" She hisses at me as she turns around to continue her self harm.

"Don't tell me to leave Lilith. I want to talk to Avani." I say taking a few steps closer. She stops what she is doing and turns to look at me. Her dark eyes look deep into mine as if she was trying to reach my soul. She stands up and drops her bloody needle on the floor. She walks toward me, blood dripping from her cut wrists.

"Do you know why I am here? Why I have taken the light?" She asks me as the blood keeps rushing down her hands.

"No I don't." I tell her as I grab some bandages from my bag. "Why don't you tell me?" I ask

"No!" Avani yells as she grabs her wrists.

"Avani I need to know if I am going to help you get better." I tell her as I step closer to her.

"I'm protecting you." She says

"Don't protect the man, the devil."

"Please, don't hurt him." Avani cries

"I will tell the man the story. But not today, no not today. I want to have fun with the demon. I want to show my dominance, my power." Lilith says as she stands up. She walks slowly to me, her arms still dripping with the blood. She touched her left arm with her right hand, and puts her blood on my face.
